I am ecstatic about the Roseboro signing. Bonnies needed front court help and the staff delivered. I really think that Nicholson and Roseboro will become the Cyrus-PVP of the next decade. Roseboro definitely has some development ahead of him, but from everything I have read, he has the intangibles that cannot be taught (size, runs the court, etc.).
Good for the Bonnies that they landed a highly sought after big man and good for Roseboro that he found a school that is a perfect fit for his talents.

I agree, this is a good get for the Bonnies. The Marquette fans I know (had another son graduate from there) think that Roseboro is just not ready for Big East play and that he realized it over the summer. But they all agree that he can develop into a very nice player and should be able to provide help this year for the Bonnies. They said there was no baggage with him and no hidden reason why he decided not to go to Marquette. To get a quality big man like this at anytime is great for Bonas but especially this late in the process. What a turnaround from a few years ago, this is much more fun isn't it.

Brett is no longer #34 on the roster. Maybe he could turn the numbers around and go with my favorite # 43. Does anyone ever remember a Bonnie wearing the #43?

Welcome Brett to the Enchanted Mountains. Coach’s ability to develop bigs makes this a great match. The factors of Brett’s age and growth spurt over the past 3 years bodes well for improving his game by leaps & bounds over the next four years. It will be exciting to see him mature over the course of his Bona career. The building of confidence at this stage will be key to him becoming “the Beast” he has referred to himself as. I would love to see pre season workouts with Brett, Andrew & House going at each other. I agree with bonadad07's assessment of where we are. Once again, kudos to Coach & staff!

GoPadres your analogy of Roseboro being a PVP type is dead on. Coaches have said the same. He will be a huge addition to the team. With the improvement at the PG spot with Ogo and a solid frontcout we have the makings ofa top tier team in the A10. If the role players contribute it will be an exciting, fun year of hoops. Congrats to Mark and his staff for the tireless work ethic. The hard work has paid off!

I understand the comparisons to PVP, but out of respect for everything PVP brought (terrific young man, 110% effort - when Peter was really hobbled with injuries he did "more with less" just because of his tremendous heart.) I have to say Brett has awful big shoes to fill.
I'm think Roseboro pretty much took his senior year off, which is not a good sign. And in quotes since the Marquette debacle he sounds beaten down, rather than pissed off. I would love to see him play with a chip on his shoulder, but he doesn't sound fired up at all.
I think Brett has tremendous potential. He's 6'10" with a good body, good athlete for his size, can shoot, and by all accounts can catch, pass and dribble well for a big man of such tender years. He's now got a coach who is a proven top teacher of big men and he's going to play for 3 years alongside a guy who is going to open up some playing space for him. I think everything is in place for Brett to be an A-10 2nd or 3rd teamer by his jr. year. But it's all gonna be about what he puts in to it - I think more so than any other player on the team, because of the big gap right now between his tremendous potential and his present ability. He'll need some time. I wouldn't be surprised if we see more out of Jake this year than from Brett, particularly early in the year (the advantage of Jake having a solid year under his belt). But if the staff can light a fire under Brett and he works his a** off, I think he can show himself to be worthy of the PVP comparison.

Don't recall any #43s off hand for the Bonnies. After thinking about, it's hard to think of many 43s ever in basketball. Kendrick Perkins with the Celtics, Pervis Ellison with the Bullets.
I do remember a 00 (Harry Moore) and 55 (Calvin Brown) for the Bonnies, though.

55 (Calvin Brown) for the Bonnies, though. #55 - Delmar Harrod, speaking of a player who produced "more with less"!

If my memory serves correct, Rocky Llewellyn also wore #55. There is a significant history associated with that number.

For what its worth, Roseboro's now listed as being #35. Guess they never did retire Sid Shelton's number.
