I was at the NYC SBU Mass & Reception last night. Always great to spend time with Fr. Dan Riley!
Someone tossed up the idea of moving the A10 tournament from AC to Brooklyn when and if the new arena for the Nets is completed. What do you think of that idea?
I think the NYC location & media attention would be good exposure, but besides Fordham, I'm not sure the A10 would draw. Would you come to Brooklyn?
Did you go to AC? I went to last year (wish the team had showed up too) - not a great hoops setting - but with a one and done showing at least we had the casinos for a little entertainment.

Keep in mind the Atlantic City part of the A10 tournament is improving greatly this year. Only 8 teams make it to AC making it a Friday/Saturday/Sunday event - should mean more out of towners can try the tournament knowing they just need to take a Friday off to do so.....prior format of midweek games meant much more. Also the A10 Championship game being on Sunday CBS National TV is a big draw too...

If and when the Brooklyn arena is finished....that would be an awesome place to have it. Although I am sure it would be much more expensive for the A-10 to rent out that arena than AC who is more or less begging for events to be held there. Not to mention the extra costs to all the teams/A-10 for hotel accommodations and any other expenses associated with a tournament. Hopefully the larger draw, better media market and increased ticket prices could offset and cost increases.

Still convinced that arena never gets built. The Nets should just move to the beautiful new Devils Newark arena and call it a day.
