Earlier today Coach Schmidt twittered "Getting ready for our exhibition Friday vs Mansfield." I wonder what size crowd will be on hand Friday night to see the Bonnies for the first time against Div II Mansfield College. Mansfield plays in the PSAC East & has been picked to finish #3. They return 4 starters who averaged between 12 & 15ppg. They will be joined by a 6’6”, 24 year old player from Hungary. Last season they had no trouble scoring 76 ppg.. Exhibitions don’t serve as much of a barometer but will give us a glimpse of how our newcomers look & how the team is coming together. I look forward to reading impressions from those attending.

I have class Friday night and there is little chance that I'll be able to make the game. Does anybody know if there will be an Internet stream for this game? Preferrably a free One on channelsurfing.net?

Following the Women’s 5 PM game, an NIT Banner will be unfurled recognizing last year’s amazing 23 win season & run in the NIT beating West Virginia & Wisconsin. It would be great to see a nice turn out to applaud their accomplishments.

NIT banners are cheesy enough, so I hope this is something subtle like the men's NIT banners.

How on earth could you rationalize that unfurling the banner during a poorly attended exhibition game would be a smart decision? Ridiculous.

Let me enjoy there moment!

Yes, women at 5 & Men directly following it. I’m sure that Watson & Crowley want to unveil the NIT banner when they have the largest crowd on hand to show their appreciation. Last season the ladies averaged under 900 fans but that average was skewed upward with the great turnouts for the NIT. My hunch is that Friday would provide the largest crowd just before the Men take the court. Early games on their schedule do not coincide with the Men, where they could draw on their attendance for the ceremony. I really enjoyed how the men’s team got into the Lady Bonnies run in the NIT last season. Congrats to Dana Mitchell named First Team All Conference. Glad to see a Bonnie being recognized for her 15.5ppg (#2 in Conference) & 82% free throws. Only Davenport, on the men’s team, exceeded her conversion rate from the stripe. Hall might learn something from her foul shooting. His lock kneed approach at release is worse than Williams’ line drive, no arc, his junior year. Sure hope the students & community turn out in large #s for this exhibition double header.
