The most recent Schmidt interview on Go.Bonnies provides some insight on the new players coach is expecting to get into the rotation. On two different occasions he mentioned Demetrius, Lewis & Marquise as the new guys he will be looking at closely. He implies that two of them will be getting minutes. These three were the only names mentioned besides the returning players. Said that Davenport will be a big factor and “will need to play like a soph & not like a freshman.” Had good things to say about fan support especially the students. Made clear “we have to earn fan support.”

On two different occasions he mentioned Demetrius, Lewis & Marquise as the new guys he will be looking at closely. He implies that two of them will be getting minutes. It was mentioned in another thread that Demetrius Simmons was giving quite the impression. Seriously though; if you have last years starters: - Andrew - Hall - Matthews - Eleby the other PG: - Ogo and the players that Coach mentions: - Davenport - Lewis - Simmons - Congers that leaves the 3-low post players: - Cook - House - Roseboro Last year 6-players averaged more than 20-minutes if you include MThomas with 2 (Hall & Matthews) at 35-MPG. An additional 3-players averaged 10+ minutes while DCook had almost 9-minutes per game. Have to figure that Hall & Matthews will have a decrease while Andrew will have an increase from his 25-MPG. So that is 9-players for the rotation and maybe another who will get close to 10-minutes leaving 2-players with garbage time. Could the rotation look like this: 1. Andrew 2. Hall 3. Matthews 4/5. Eleby/Ogo 6. Davenport 7. Lewis 8. Simmons/Congers 9.. Roseboro/House/Cook ----- end of the bench (where one gets almost 10-MPG): 10. one of the 4 from #s 6-8 list 11/12. 2 of the 3 from #9 as Coach said all of the players will have a chance to see what they can do in the exhibition, it will be interesting to see how it turns out! Have to believe that at least one of those 2-last players will be quite unhappy and a transfer candidate.

These types of interviews are great to have on gobonnies.com because really there is no other media outlet for his interviews in the area.

Glad to hear Davenport's name being mentioned. I feel he could be a 25 min a game player that can do a lot of the little things that help teams win! ;D

I was somewhat surprised that Brett's name was not mentioned by Coach. Some early observors indicated he might be a starter.

Today's OTH, JP Butler stated Roseboro separated his shoulder for the second time this preseason. His status for tonight's exhibition is questionable and is said to be day to day. JP also says Cook has the edge in starting at PF. For the last 2 weeks he has taken majority of the reps with the starters from last year.

Today's OTH, JP Butler stated Roseboro separated his shoulder for the second time this preseason. Now that is concerning. Having a daughter of about the same age who has separated her shoulder multiple times, eventually leading to the need for surgery, I can't help but feel nervous about this one.

Ladies up 33 - 11 at the half. Don't expect the Men to have as easy a time.

Ladies dominate 71 -18. The freshman & sophs looked real good playing together the last 10 mins. Beautiful back door with 6 mins left. The 3 frosh really look special not only skill wise but hoops IQ.
