Head Coach Mark Schmidt Opening Statement “I thought it was a great game between two competitive teams. I thought we had a great crowd and we really appreciate the Rochester alumni that came out to support us. I’m just disappointed that we couldn’t finish out the game. I thought we played hard; we didn’t do everything we needed to do. One of the big keys to the game we thought would be their three-point shooting and we did a poor job in the first half with them making 6-11. We defended that better in the second half and I thought we needed to rebound and we did do a good job in that area. It comes down to them making a play and us not being able to keep Boothe in front of us. That’s a good team and I’m happy with how our guys competed. That’s a Big East team that people have been raving about and we were there with them toe-to-toe. But, as I said to the team, not many people have second-place Trophies on their mantle; at least I don’t. Losing isn’t acceptable and I want our guys to understand that.”

Schmidt is a class act. Love his outlook. We will be in the top half of the A-10 soon, as long as he stays! I think we all need to thanks the Lord that he took the job.

Hopefully he doesn't pull a Jim O'Brien...
