This is remarkable PG play by anyone but by a frosh it’s incredible. If we enjoyed that level of performance from the PG position I feel we would be at 10-1 & Miss State would have been a very different story. Can’t under estimate the value of this position to a team’s success.

Can’t under estimate the value of this position to a team’s success. I agree, especially with the last sentence. It is an absolutely critical position in college ball. I think the argument about Eleby vs Ogo is irrelevant. Neither is that much better than the other and neither is good enough to take us where we want to go.

Malcom and Ogo you can come to my house whenever you would like and I will cook you a steak and a potato. Those who can't do critique those who can. As long as you guys leave your heart on the court most of us are behind you 100%. Screw the metrosexual ne sayers. See you in Atlantic City. Screw evereybody. Just do your best.

We are unfortunately stuck with 2 point guards that are average at best. We can argue who is better and who has this stat or that stat, but the bottom line is neither is good enough to take us to the next level. We are not going to make the jump to the elite in our league until we improve at this position. It is on our staff to recruit better, period. We need to find the point guard that there is no debate about if he is the best guard on the team. I have my own opinion on who should play point guard. I will tell you this: it is not all about the stats. It is more about getting the ball to the right guy at the right time. It is about knowing how to use your dribble to move and attack a zone. It is taking good shots that are within your range and within the offense. Just dribbling too much or holding the ball for a split second too long breaks down the offense and allows defenses to compensate, double team and force bad shots. Does any of this resemble our guard play?
