Bummer if you lost the whole thing betting against the Bonas today! Sometimes it pays to remain loyal.
The Brown Indians will cotinue their march forward with or without the lightweight fans! Luckily there are enough true fans to keep it going.
Donate to BAF if you want it to happen quicker!

Never bet for or against this team. What is your definition of a "true" fan?
Great shooting performance, and Im sure a nice game plan by Sol. Congrats to the team.

Organge
If your question was directed at me, I define a true fan as one that supports the team in good times and bad and understands that sometimes things may take longer than they hoped to improve. That doesn't mean we have to sit on our hands and make no changes, but it means that we need to make sure those changes are in the best long-term interest of the program and the university before making them. For instance those calling for moving to the MAAC either have not thought it out completely or don't understand what that would do to our program on the ling-run (it's a death sentence). I will, however, buy into the temporary insanity agrument though if some loyal fans want to plead out. ;-)
Under no circumstances does a true fan bet agianst his team or spread false rumors to disrupt the team or needlessly upset fans, ala RipReilly.

Bet the Bonnies +3 today - another no-brainer. Richmond is a terrible team, and they played like it.
Now, Wed. at LaSalle, that's a different story. No matter what the line is, I'm taking LaSalle minus the points !

Ripreilly755...Don’t share your assessment of the Spiders as a “terrible team.” They came into the RC as the 3rd best scoring defense in the nation. They beat Seton Hall by 11, lost to Louisville by 8 at their place, Lost to Wake Forest by just 7, beat Dayton & St Louis & they were leading X with 11mins left. When a team plays D as well as they do they are always dangerous. Let’s not minimize a quality win by our Bonnies.

Rip
Sure. I'll believe you bet with the Bonnies. After all you've had so many post supporting them lately. Now after they finally break out with a nice win you're strategy is to minimize their opponent. Richmond is not a bad team, and it was a quality win.
The more you post the more you show your ignorance.

Agree WGT and Sneakers...if we thrashed GW...Ripster would say they were overrated.
We have a very angry person here...bitter at Bonas and life in general.

I wondering if what we have here isn't JvbK or that sonofabitch Wickenheiser playing games. Just their styles!

Absolutely agree with everything above. Like to add, it is not unreasonable for loyal fans to expect evidence of progress. To be specific, an increase in the number of A-10 wins. Great job by team, Solomon and staff for winning last nght. Season is not over, with Duquesne and Richmond on the road. Team wins at least one more game there would be some evidence of progress this year. IMHO overall record is not a sign of progress. If the Bonnies moved to the NEC (conference where team has most of its wins) and goes undefeated in that conference, it would not be a sign of progress. With the Bonnies weak out of conference schedule, the only true measure of progress is A-10 wins. Moving to the MAAC, would be a huge mistake!

Also like to add in that progress can be judged based on the number of games that you were actually in and had a chance at winning. Last year we had 3 A10 games in which we lost by less than 10 and 1 win. This year so far, 4 under 10 and 1 win. We also lost a lot of games by at least 20pts. This year most of these games are in the teens. Thats the progress that I see. Ultimately I would love to see this progress in the form of wins, but we have not seen this yet.
