Bonas has interest in Anthony Durham. 6-4 CG from Philly. Said to have visited last year but went prep? Averaging over 25 this year!

Yes this is true = on twitter last week the head coach stated we had offered along with Fla Gulf Coast, Rutgers. Depaul.... Also - Verbal commits is a nice guide - but in no way includes all our targets

In watching JAMALL'S videos I first thought why is the staff on him? He looks very similar to the BONNIES' JALEN ADAMS, then it hit me, WOW! JAMALL's athleticism is freakish! JAMALL & JALEN on the same team would be incredible!

I agree KC. I'm not sure we can rely on Gathers running the point and putting faith in Alston could be risky not knowing if he can play at this level. On the verbalcommitts website in the class of 2014 Jalen Adams is also being sought after by UCONN and Kansas. Do we realistically have a shot at this kid? Does anyone know if he has some kind of connection with Bonas and maybe that is why he is on our radar? Getting him would be a dream but I'm afraid it may just be a pipe dream.

We wont get that Jalen Adams. I'd be shocked if we did. He is a teammate with Taqee and that is our connection to him. I will happily eat crow if we land him.

We wont get that Jalen Adams. I'd be shocked if we did. He is a teammate with Taqee and that is our connection to him. I will happily eat crow if we land him. Bonnies have an interesting history of recruiting teammates and friends. --- It all started with Sam Stith, who had a talented brother named Tom. Tom Stith would become an All American (2nd leading scorer in the nation as a junior), 2nd pick in the 1961 NBA Draft, 5th leading scorer in Bonnie history and a Bona legend. --- Next was the recruiting battle with Syracuse for Roosevelt Bouie and Cliff Warwell. Rumor was both wanted to go to the school which was closer to their home. Bouie was from near Buffalo and Warwell from Syracuse. Unfortunately they became friends during their recruitment and decided they would go to the same college. Warwell with the stronger personality chose Syracuse and Bouie signed with Syracuse the next day. Warwell leaves Syracuse after freshman season and Bouie becomes a star at Syracuse. --- Teammates at Christian Brother Academy (near Syracuse) both want to play for Syracuse. Unlike Bouie and Warwell these teammates dislike each other and decide they do not want to play together in college. Boeheim picks the high school All American Marty Headd and passes on Earl Belcher. Headd becomes 1,000 point scorer at Syracuse while Belcher becomes Bonas 2nd leading all time scorer. At the bottom is a link to article about Marty Headd who went from a star at Syracuse to a janitor at Syracuse University. ---Jim Baron seals the deal with Vidal Massiah by giving a scholarship to his teammate and friend Elton Ruddock. Elton Ruddock has the last seat on the Bonnie bench for his entire Bonnie career, while Vidal becomes a 3 year starter and 69th all time leading scorer. Vidal was the star of the game when Bonnies knocked off Connecticut. ---Schmidt was ready to sign Detroit prepster Eric Evans. At the last moment Duquesne coach Ron Everhart offers a scholarship to Eric's friend and teammate Shawntez Patterson if Evans signs with Duquense. Eric abruptly changes his mind and signs with Everhart. Shawntez leaves Duquesne after his freshman season and Evans becomes 1,000 point scorer. I would be thrilled to have Idris teammate join him at Bonas. dailyorange.com/2009/03/no-complaints-marty-headd-was-a-basketball-star-at-syracuse-nearly-30-years-ago-now-he-works-here-as-a-janitor/

STELING TAPLIN Update in this morning's BUFFALO NEWS: Here is part of an article in today's BUFF NEWS by Keith McShea(who never returns my e-mails)"Taplin's future beyond high school is headed toward Division I basketball. The senior has yet to make a decision, but the interest is there. SIENA offered him a scholarship last week and he said he has spoken with VERMONT and NIAGARA recently. 'KENTUCKY has called my dad, ALABAMA has called my dad,' said TAPLIN, who also said that prep school is a possibility for next year. TAPLIN's family is close to REGGIE WITHERSPOON who has offered TAPLIN a scholarship when he was the coach at the University of Buffalo; WITHERSPOON was fired last Spring. TAPLIN said UB 'was an option...and after that happened, that option wasn't there anymore.' His high school coach also said GEORGE MASON coach PAUL HEWITT has been to WILLIAMSVILLE NORTH to scout TAPLIN."
