Very instinctive big who seems to have huge upside! Would be the athletic big we need to finish off this talented class. Have a great visit big guy. By the way, there is a recent history here at Bona's of developing bigs that are NBA worthy. With Joshua Lewis just graduating from high school and there is just 1 scholarship left, it appears JP Kambola will not becoming for this upcoming season. Joshua has good stats with 9.4 ppg and impressive 11.5 rpg in comparison Jordan Tyson's had 12.4 ppg and 6.2 rpg in prep school. Joshua is an athletic big and like BJIF says from the video appears to have a "huge upside" as for defense, particularly with blocking shots. I wonder why he is still available. Joshua would certainly add another exciting big man with a lot of potential. Hopefully he has a great visit. does it mean kambola isnt coming ? or could it mean woods isnt qualifying ? www.ncsasports.org/mens-basketball-recruiting/fl/MIRAMAR/miramar-high-school1/joshua-lewis29www.maxpreps.com/athlete/joshua-lewis/mTKUDPTpEeKZ5AAmVebBJg/gendersport/basketball-stats.htm

Queue the dramatic organ chord in the background ("As the Stomach Turns") tis the nature of the recruiting beast. or could it possibly mean that even though lewis is a 2015 H.S. grad he may be thinking of going prep and the staff is bringing him in as a futures recruit ?

Or it could mean neither. It means that the staff is still recruiting Kambola and Lewis both. Why recruit only one?

Chuck, regarding available schloraships......we have not yet officially announced David Andoh....all we know is that through twitter that he has committed....also I think the OTH has said something....but nothing official yet. FJS is right there hasn't been anything official from Bona, but JP wrote following in the Olean Times Herald "A source at Bona confirmed Andoh’s commitment and said an official announcement may come as early as this afternoon." To add more intrigue, it has been 3 days since the "source" said announcement was going to happen very soon. Has me thinking of Tra'Vaughn White announcing he was signing with Bona, but he never received a LOI from Schmidt. Bonnies wound up signing Charlon Kloof instead. www.oleantimesherald.com/sports/article_57869f6e-1a81-11e5-80a7-93968c5e2fc0.html

Since I am so easily confused (and this has been an extra-confusing recruiting season even for those without cognitive difficulties) let me summarize things to make sure I have things straight:
We had 5 'ships to give, and (the following order of the numbers is probably wrong, but that's irrelevent and not the point)): #1 went to La'Darius Griffin of Florida (6'8* F) who is qualified and fully expected to be on campus in the fall and eligible to play this season; #2 went to Derrick Woods of Pennsbury, PA. (6'9" F) who has signed, but bot yet qualified to play in the upcoming season (although we are hopeful, but I am uncertain if that is based on fact or conjecture); #3 went to Courtney Stockard, a (6'%" swingman) JUCO transfer who is eligible this season and who has already arrived on campus and been seen playing pick-up summer games on campus; #4 went to 6'1"Canadian PG Nelson Kaputo, who was allowed to reclassify so as to be admitted as a frosh this fall and eligible to play this season and who also has already been spotted on campus this summer; #5 is still open, with the presumption being it has been offered to a graduate level transfer from Marshall, a center who would eligible to play this year, but who has not yet signed.
Adding to the confusion of the situation, we have also obtained commitments this summer from:
1. - Matt Mobley - a guard coming in as a graduate transfer from Central Conn. who will not be available until the '16-'17 season, presumedly to replace the graduating Posley; and 2. - David Andoh, a JUCO-transfer forward who apparently has committed although no formal announcement has been made as of yet, and who also won't be arriving until the '16-'17 school year and season.
Sound about right, or have I fouled it up somehow???

I believe we had seven to give (six players returning and allowed 13 scholarships). We have assigned the six you detail and now have one remaining to give or hold onto.

Anyone know when classes start? Assuming we need to hear something on Lewis or Kambola in the very near future....

Never doubt until the large woman sings!

In today's vernacular, we are not allowed to use "large woman", or the previous term we used to use. We will now refer to her as the "woman with the Viking helmet and long blonde braids" sings. Hopefully this will not insult anyone of Norsemen blood, or long haired blondes.

Correction to the correction. Large is preferable to "fat" and I believe politically correct. Please let's not get into 5 pages of digression such as the seating post. Enjoy the possibility of a late add to the program.

The Philadelphia Flyers, when known as the Broad Street Bullies, used Kate Smith's version of God Bless America (Kate as the "fat lady") as they fought for the Stanley Cup (1974)....here is a short video of her singing her version in Philadelphia. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRMtXUgVp0cThis short video is one of the most moving versions of Kate Smith singing. Irving Berlin wrote God Bless America in 1918, but was not performed until Kate Smith sang it in the late 30's. In this video you will also see a few seconds of an actor who became president. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEJo7x9y3D4
