Would 'horizontally challenged person' be physcially and sexually correct in todays hypersensitive soceity? I know I am vertically challenged.

One of the things I liked about the Army was that there was always the Army way of doing anything, even talking. You could say, for example, that someone was a "six seventy dash nine issue" and all would know that your reference was to Army Regulation 670-9, which deals with standards of professional appearance, including the height and weight guidelines. The problem was that once you got to be a civilian again you might just get "lost in the sauce" (another Army colloquialism) when trying to communicate. Forgive my "not staying in my lane" here.

So any chance of a last second surprise for this recruiting class? - whatever happened o the 6'9" kid who graduated from Liberty (I think it was Liberty?)and was transferring? I am being greedy since I think this is a terrific class on paper and a nice start on next year, but why not?

He did not graduate from Liberty......coach left as did David. Great signing by Mark, he will play one year for us.... gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-baskbl/2015-16/bios/andoh_david_qnou

I am being greedy since I think this is a terrific class on paper and a nice start on next year, but why not? Saturday JP Butler had an article with following comment from Schmidt "We're not going to fill it in the next week. Maybe we could get a mid year transfer in December. You always want to try to keep one in case something pops." The 6'9" kid from Liberty is actually 6'7" David Andoh, who is a stretch power forward who gets many point of his points off the dribble. Being a transfer he is sitting out this year. Derrick Woods who is now officially qualified, LaDarien Griffin and Nelson Kaputo makes up on paper a solid recruiting class. After all the Bonnies are not known for signing a player that is "arguably the best point guard in Canada." With these freshman we add Courtney Stockard the 3rd leading JUCO scorer in the nation. I agree ceharv it is a nice start and I'm excited about this season. If we get adequate play at center I can see 20 wins, which is something accomplished only once by Schmidt at Bonas.

fjs - no, there was another grad transfer who visited and was offered before Andoh appeared. JP Kampola or something like that? Pretty sure about 6'9", not so sure about Liberty tho.

Maybe it is both! "Liberty transfer Tomasz Gielo. 6-9 forward eligible immediately. Shot 40% from 3 past 2 years. Said he is weighing his options."
But he went to ole miss.

Ceharv, I think you are thinking of JP Kambola 6'9" PF/C (Transfer from Marshall), who reportedly visited this spring.

Garf yeah that's him, thanks. Marshall, Liberty - basically the same, right? No, I know they're not, but whatever.

Papa Ndya just picked Fordham over a few P5 teams and they are supposedly close on a couple more recruits from the same country. Two take aways from this. Fordham has turned the ship around so this is huge for the A10 going forward. Secondly, Fordham seems to be taking a page out of Schmidt's recruiting blueprint by recruiting in Senegal. Jeff Neubauer has done a tremendous job at Rose Hill. I am also hearing that there will be a big push to do something about the Rose Hill Gym. Anything short of a wrecking ball would not be enough.

Every site I could find still has BONA listed with KALIF but there are also a lot of bigger schools looking at him including SYRACUSE & VCU. KALIF seems to be the backup plan if they do not land TAUREN THOMPSON for several. VANDY and PITT were interested but with STALLINGS leaving VANDY for PITT and with STALLINGS convincing COREY MANIGAULT to honor his commitment to PITT, not sure if they are still interested. Articles say that KALIF's parents are being very selective in what school KALIF goes to, but not sure what they are looking for. They are supposedly selecting what schools KALIF will be visiting but I have yet to find a list.

We have always been listed in the top 5 with Kalif Young - his intention was always to decide later than normal - we should get a visit. If we do land him he would be a 6'9 240lb rebounder of impact - and our major advantage would be our location and conference - he would wish to play closer to home so his parents could watch him play and the A10 is a quality enough conference to play in to develop his skills to the next level. Marquette, Providence, Alabama seem to be the competition. When location is a prime consideration (and we hope it is here) we have little competition, Niagara , UB & Canisius are all in 1-bid conferences, Syracuse being in the ACC is often too high a level.
