KC,
Did you go to the RH game or no? Just wondering how Quinton is looking these days, he had a couple of poor games leading into sectionals (I believe to be injury related though).

I did not go last night. I have seen him a handful of times this year and every time he has looked good to me. He has never had to score like he did last night but obviously he can do it if he needs to. I saw their last game of the season and he did not look injured to me. No braces or tape jobs anyway. The kid can play, another year to develop and he would be a good get for us. I will probably see his dad in a couple weeks so I will be sure to mention it.

I was at the BK vs RH game. My impressions are this- Quinton Rose is a very good player. He gets to the hoop whenever he wants, very good passer, and always plays within flow of the game. That game he had 18 points and probably about 6 assists and close to 10 rebounds. BK seeding is very deceiving. The problem they have is some games they don't show up. When they do they are one of the top teams in the state. As far as Quinton, the last 3 games of regular season he was hurt with a wrist injury. He went up for a dunk and was fouled hard and landed on wrist. The RH game was the first in a while that he looked normal again. He has a tough matchup on Wednesday vs a very good Fairport team.

I am going tomorrow to see BK-Fairport. BK lost last time out to Fairport but Rose basically sat out the whole 1st half with foul trouble. Fairport has the better team but BK always seems to turn it on in March so Im looking forward to it.

Sip- Those two offers are not the level of competition this kid should be playing at.

So far we are his best offer so that is a good sign. I would think he stays another year trying to get more exposure but if he ends up with us I'll be happy.

Add Anthony Lamb, 6'6" , from Greece Athena in the Rochester area to the list of juniors being recruited.....
...The Billies had trouble with both when it came to Greece Athena’s Anthony Lamb. The 6-foot-6 junior, who’s being courted by Western New York’s Big 4 schools as well as other mid-major programs, was a huge presence inside on both the offensive and defensive end. He scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down a game-high 21 rebounds to lead the Trojans. That was a regional game vs Will South......

Thats good news. Lamb needs to fill out and get stronger but he's a goodplayer. Imagineif we could get both him and Rose from Roch?

Lamb is already big strong kid-with a frame that can add strength. My son played against him quite a bit when they were in 8th/9th grade. Back then Lamb was taller than the other kids and on the heavy side; he was too powerful for anyone inside but could step out and shoot and handle the ball. Since then he has thinned out considerably but still has an inside/out game and remains powerful. Think the style of Pierre and Pollard at Dayton. Note--I said style. He had 23 pts, 21 rebounds this weekend against Williamsville South. He and Rose were sitting next to one another at the Geo Mason game in Rochester. It will be interesting to see his game progress next year as Athena loses everyone but him but has a strong coach. Definitely worth Schmidt and staff keeping a CLOSE eye on or he could blow up like Emmitt Holt did.
