There is an item at the end of the official SBU preview package that doesn't say anything we don't already know -- but its inclusion (and headline) could imply that there's hope that Jordan could make it back at some point not too far down the line.
Gathers Making His Way Back Senior guard Jordan Gathers, who is one of the team's two captains this season, had surgery in June to repair a labrum tear in his right hip. He has made progress in his healing from the procedure but did not dress against Dartmouth or Siena. Last season, Gathers averaged 8.2 points per game in 31 contests; he has played in 91 games over his career. Gathers is the nephew of the late Loyola Marymount star Hank Gathers.

Canisius will be stupid if they don't come out in a 2-3 zone. Our guys are going to need to learn how to work the zone and be patient. It can't be like Wednesday when they were jacking up shots all game long. But these guys are young and they will learn. Go Bonnies!!!

Very bummed out that I was unable to make to to Bonaland for this game.
Really worried about this game after looking at how our team came out for Siena. Jimmy B is going to definitely come out quick with a 2-3 zone and we need this game today. We cannot allow these early non conference games to get away from us and everyone on the Bona bench needs to come out with some passion today.
Big game... lets make some noise in the Reilly Center and truly hope the students make some serious noise today.

All last year we heard "the best player for SBU is sitting on the bench." Where is Jalen Adams? This was the most anticipated athlete in decades I thought?

Dion really seems to have regressed and I cant put my finger on it. The bigs might not be getting the ball in places where they can do anything about it, but man we are not a very good team right now. Four guards with no experience, could be a long road

Don't know the answer, but it's been written here that Schmidt's offense has a bazillion sets and you don't play much if you don't have a handle on them. Clearly we are running Schmidt offense 101 and it's not working yet. Maybe Jalen Adams is behind the rest of the class ? Amazing how we have managed to get killed on the boards AND leave their '3' shooters wide open.

Doesn't it seem like a 7-footer might on occasion grab a rebound?

Not hard to guess who the transfer rumor is. I am putting my predictions in a hermetically sealed mayonnaise jar on Funk and Wagnell's porch until next year.

As sloppy as our guys have played tonight, down by two at the half doesn't seem to bad.
