Bonnie women play at Niagara at 1 today. Game will be televised on Time Warner cable. Had penciled this game in as a win preseason but Niagara has been playing great basketball since being stranded on a bus for two days on the thruway after their loss to a mediocre Pitt team. Per the www.rpiratings.com/womrate.php Niagara will actually be a 7 point favorite today. They are coming off a trouncing of a decent Cleveland State team on Thursday. Also beat common foe Detroit by 22 points. Niagara starts 4 seniors and have a couple of really good three point shooters. On paper Niagara does not match up with Bonaventure's inside game but they come into the game averaging close to 45 rebounds a game more about 5 better than their opponents. Hopefully the turnovers will be limited today and Nyla h returns to form.

This season and next is all about how Ruff and Drummond progress from here. I believe the game is slowing down for them. This team will struggle if they can not find a fourth and fifth scorer consistently, especially from the guard and SF position. If they don't they will continue to pack it in against Healy and Little!
I stated at the beginning of the year, for this team to be special, Ruff would have to be special as well. It's turning out, for this team just to be good on a night in and night out basis, Ruff or Drummond will also have to be very good. The potential is there!
Coach Crowley is right, they are 8-3 and have not come even close to playing their best basketball. But I believe they want to be special, just not good.
Go Bonnies!

Nice road win for the lady Bonnies 72-60, clutch free throw shooting too.

Nice road win for the Bonnie's. Niagara started 4 seniors and will be a competitive team in the MAAC this year. Play Georgetown at 2:00pm on Monday. A win would give them a 10-3 OOC record. Not bad although the team has been playing a little below expectations so far. Team has also picked up a 2016 commitment from Danielle Magliore from Frankfort, NY. She is a 5'7" point guard who is averaging 27 points per game. McKenna Maycok hit for 39 points on Friday. Team in 2 years will look much different and expect them to be shooting a lot of threes. Anyone know why Emily Michael did not play Saturday?

Looks like Mariah Ruff is getting more time, and rightfully so. I have high expectations for her, she was an impact yesterday.

Now if we could get Miranda Drummond some quality minutes I think she would be a solid contributor as the season wears on.

Looks like another good one for Crowley. www.littlefallstimes.com/article/20141218/Sports/141219503
