I know that this is a bit earlier but I was looking to make the trip to Brooklyn and I am wondering if the school gets tickets for a certain section. Anyone have any info on that? Usually our ticket office has tickets for the tournament.....and usually the school is responsible to sell their allocation, and if they don't they have to pay (I believe that was true in the past and I will try to find out). Our tickets are "usually" for all the games, but again I am unsure. The Bona bandwagon has each year been given a special ticket package where you can buy individual tickets, but difficult to know what games (there is a doubleheader on Wednesday, 2 on Thursday and 2 on Friday.....one admission on Saturday for the semi's and one on Sunday for the finals). I will provide that link and also get more info from our ticket office. Last year I bought tickets at the gate, which was not a problem. Link for tickets.... barclayscenterots.com/Special_Offer_BonniesBandwagon.html

Still way too early, but fans will be fans. Let's take each A-10 team's expected conference record from Sagarin as of today, Lincoln's birthday, and see where the Bonnies fit into the conference bracket. We are projected to finish 10-8 along with LAS and Richmond. That puts us in 9th place if we lose the tie-breakers. We would play one of those two teams on March 12 and then face the conference champ (VCU, Dayton etc.)the next day. The winner would face the winner of Game 4 (probably UMass over the winner of GMU vs. SLU)) vs. Davidson. This is way too hypothetical to follow into the A10 championship game.

William Hill Sportsbook came out with the first odds for the A-10 Tournament that I have seen anywhere. Who are you betting on?
VCU 3-1 Dayton 4-1 URI 11-2 GW 11-2 Davidson 11-2 Richmond 10-1 UMass 15-1 La Salle 20-1 St. Bon 25-1 Field 18-1
Brought this over form the A10 board. Few weeks this will all get settled.

We all--most of us anyway-- scoffed at the pre-season poll that had the Bonnies finishing 10th in the A10. Maybe these coaches who make big bucks are smarter than we think: the Bonnies would rate a 9-seed in the tourney if the season ended today after 12 conference games played. However, long ago at St. Bonaventure I took an English Literature course where I learned this quote from Alexander Pope's writings: "Hope springs eternal in the human breast." Those of the Charles Barkley mindset don't put much faith in analytics, while followers of Kenpom.com may be interested to note that the Bonnies are supposed to finish the A10 at 10-8 along with Richmond, LaSalle and GW (probably resulting in a 9-seeding due to the tie-breaker rules). Here's hoping we sweep the next six games to get a better tourney seeding and hit Brooklyn with a good tailwind.

The Bonnies' opening tourney pairing looks the same as it did a week ago. Opening game for us will be at noon on Thursday, 12 March. Likely opponent will be LaSalle. Winner meets the No.1 seed the following day at noon.

Similar to last year.....played LaSalle and then #1 Seed St Louis (we know it won't be them this year). gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-baskbl/2013-14/releases/20140314hbdaib
