Described as "the most amazing display of hitting I have ever seen," John Rusin of Williamsville North (Buffalo area) belted three home runs in his first three at-bats in a 9-5 win over Frontier yesterday.
Rusin, who has signed a letter-of-intent to play at St. Bonaventure, put North ahead for good with a 2nd inning grand slam.
"They were just bombs," gushed North coach Jerry Scarcella.

There are quite a few good players around this area that do not get recruited to as good a college as they should and this is what makes Bonas such a strong program. Sounds like we landed a good one here.

Just curious -- anyone know if this John Rusin is related to the Ben Rusin who used to scout for Bonas back in the day? (I'm guessing he is...)
