Well I'm sure that the players are trying very hard. Just wondering if a little help from the Bonnies wouldn't give these kids a decent win now and then. Gotta be awfully tough to endure losing (badly) season after losing (badly) season.

At the start of preseason practice, most of the upper classmen who were trying out decided that Coach Blocher's expectations were too tough and quit. Bloch ( former SBU golf team captain) played the kids who stayed and they took their lumps. Hopefully they will improve this year. A very successful high school athletic program has declined beyond belief.

If I am not mistaken, Kenny Fairfield was from Hinsdale. Kenny was a deadeye shooter and an integral part of the Bonnies late fifties NIT teams, when the NIT was an equal tournament with the NCAA.

You are correct Kenny Fairfield - Class of 55, one of the all time Bona greats and his number hangs from the rafters. I was thinking he was drafted by the NBA but cannot support that as I scoured some archives.
Donny Hurlburt for the longest time held the New York State single game scoring record of 72 points. Dave Conklin NYS rushing record for many years, and of course Steph Karst holds the New York State all time goal scoring record in soccer...All proud Hinsdale Alum!
Go Bobcats!

Sounds like some mighty fine athletes have come out of Hinsdale. What can be done to get the Hinsdale athletic program back on track? What sort of help could the coaches and kids use?
