Congrats to the baseball tram for a stellar season. Found myself doing some "scoreboard watching" today. Unfortunately, Rhode Island beat UMass 5 - 4 this afternoon.

Rhody won; Dayton and St. Louis split. So, going into tomorrow, the standings are:
Rhody 18-6 SBU 18-7 Dayton 17-9 Charlotte 16-9
Looks like Bona has clinched a bye. Even with a loss tomorrow, SBU will be 18-8, the best Dayton(1 game left) and Charlotte(2 games left) can do with wins are 18-9.
Bonnies could still take first as well, with a win and a Rhody loss. Would make SBU 19-7, Rhody would be 18-7.
The rainouts this season are having a major bearing on the final standings.
Congrats to Larry and the guys ! Another Coach of the Year awrad for Mr. Sudbrook is at hand !

At 18-7 in the A10 with a shot at the regular season title is a remarkable achievement by our Bonnies & Coach Sudbrook. Really quite impressive considering our 2 best pitchers (Pellegrini & Proctor) were sidelined from pitching all season due to injuries. Yesterday’s win further extends the school’s record for most A10 wins in a season. Would have loved to have seen the two suicide squeeze bunts that produced 2 runs (Of course Bona invented the bunt). Today is Senior Day at the 12 noon game. A win might result in season title. Wish I were there to see Sean, Dan & John take the traditional last trip around the McGraw Field bases. Same field they raked & watered during their years at Bona. Great group of kids. Thanks for all your hard work & terrific achievements. Go Bonas!
