There was a good article about the Bonnies sports programs in the OTH today. It was written by Vinny Pezzimenti. The article states the obvious though. The b-ball team is the schools money maker and all other sports teams - mens baseball, lacrosse swimming, softball, tennis and soccer is second hand (unfortunately).
It would be nice if the so called secondary sports teams where given more money to offer more scholarships than what they do now. Bonnies is lucky to have secondary sports that are so successful.
Any information on new assistant coaches or recruits?

He failed to mention the golf program which has become very successful in spite of a lack of funding and lousy climate in which to practice.

Surprised he overlooked golf especially with Frosh Jim Gifford having qualified to join the best amateurs & pros at Canoe Brook CC in Summit, NJ to try & get into the US Open at Winged Foot in a couple of weeks. Sadly Jim may have been distracted yesterday, as were many, by the media & crowd surge following Michelle Wie. I’m sure his 80 did not please him. Second round 75 was more in line with his game & tied Michelle's second round of 75. Wonder what is game would be like if he lived in Florida rather than Albany, NY.
