Buy or Sell: Bonnies shoot over 65% from the line this year? (62.7% last year)
I will take that statement and buy it in a second....Last year Ahmad Smith began the season with a horrible FT% and rebounded pretty well, Patrick Lottin was no sure thing from the line, but Wade Dunston was....
This years team is going to be loaded with players who SHOULD be able to make free throws.....Add guards like Calvin and Z, along with Tyler who will be over 85% and dont forget Mike Lee who was most likely our most consistant Free throw shooter.
The problem is Relph doesnt take enough FT's to warrent him a great FT shooter, I'd say he took something like 2 a game last year...thats what happens when you dont take the ball to the rim, no one is going to foul Tyler 20 feet from the basket....
If Paul can improve at all, and we get what we should from Mike, Tyler R and B, Z , Calvin and Diggs from time to time...We should def. be over that 65% mark, and id say closer to 70%.....
Problem again being Paul takes most of the FTs, probably around 8 a game....HE is the X factor here, and needs to get much better...If he can shoot 65% next year il be thrilled...
Now........BUY OR SELL TYLER REPLH DEVELOPING ANY TYPE GOING TO THE BASKET...MEANING THIS YEAR YOU BELIEVE HE WILL DRIVE, AND TAKE AND MAKE PULLUP JUMPERS FROM 10 FEET.....NO MORE ONLY THREE BALLS..

Now........BUY OR SELL TYLER REPLH DEVELOPING ANY TYPE GOING TO THE BASKET...MEANING THIS YEAR YOU BELIEVE HE WILL DRIVE, AND TAKE AND MAKE PULLUP JUMPERS FROM 10 FEET.....NO MORE ONLY THREE BALLS.. I'll buy that, naturally. A lot of people really fail to realize how hampered Peaches was last season. Even when he was on the floor, he was either in pain or very winded due to his inability to participate in team workouts with the bone spurs/stress fracture. Now that he is back at 100%, which includes a full offseason (last summer he had a very badly sprained ankle, which could have led to the stress fracture) along with preseason, I can't see a reason why he won't be the type of player he was at McQuaid. Buy or sell: Jermaine Calvin does not need to score more than 6 ppg for this team to succeed.

Sell: We saw when Diggs couldn't score how ineffective he was because he couldn't keep the defense honest. Not saying Jermaine needs to score a ton, but enough so the defense has to play him.
Buy or Sell: The Bonnies shoot over 33% from 3-point range this season? 26% last year

Buy the over 33% from 3 Land...additions in the backcourt, and a little more experience up front translate into more OPEN 3's.
Buy or Sell: The Bonnies will win the battle of the boards in more than 50% of the A-10 games this year?

I'll buy that. Peaches will be up from his 30%, and we lose PML's 1-10 nights from behind the arc.
Buy or sell: Mike Lee will make an all A-10 team?

Last year the Bonnies did not have a player shooting over 33% from behind the arc. Also consider Fereti our suppose best shooter from 3's only averaged 33.5% from 3 point range last year in JUCO. Bonnies will shoot better than last year, but I'm selling the Bonnies shooting over 33% from 3 point range this season.
I'm emphatically buying Jermaine Calvin has to score over 6 points a game to be successful. Teron being unable to penetrate or create is the biggest reason for the Bonnies shooting woes last year. Hopefully Jermaine can finish on drives to the hoop. We need a point guard, who is more than a distributor.

Lets not forget Calvin was 1st team all-state out of hs in AZ and last year while playing on a juco team that had 6 D1 players on it...Calvin was named the MVP of the playoff tournament for his team......he will score more than 6ppg If Sol had a weakness it was that he was unable to capitalize on the 10 year run of success of Bona PG's from Shandue to Winn to Bremer to Green......Jermain Calvin finally fills that gap a bit... Bremer showed that a ton of playing time while in the A10 can be a ticket to the NBA.......every recruit's wish !

"Buy or sell: Mike Lee will make an all A-10 team?"
Hmmm, maybe 2nd team if he has an incredible season. There is too much talent in the A10 for Mike Lee to make 1st team. Especially if Ahmad didn't even make 1st team last season.

Especially if Ahmad didn't even make 1st team last season. That's a tough one. Part of me agrees; if Mr. Everything got snubbed, what makes us think Mr. Sometimes - Michael Lee - would get recognized? However, the eternal optomism that keeps me from making non-biased judgements and predictions reminds me that we'll win more games in '07. Generally, all-conference teams aren't flooded with guys from eight-win teams. If we win 11 or 12, the conference will have to recognize one of our players, then leaving it a matter of Lee or Paul. BUY or SELL: Either David Fox or Ivan Kovacevic will crack the rotation by season's end and prove the slightest bit worthy of their scholarships by providing any ounce of productivity between the two of them.

I'm selling this one big time. I think if you put the two of them together they would barely equal Saulis Dumblauskis and that wouldn't give you anything as far as productivity, let alone individually.
BUY OR SELL: A name no one has mentioned in any discussion: Jourdan Morris. So, buy or sell J-Mo making a bigger impact than AJ Hawkins last year.

I'll have to sell this one. Morris is coming into a program with a much deeper roster, especially at his position. Now, Hawkins' contributions tailed off during conference play (due to, from what one poster says, a nagging injury?), but Morris will need to leap frog at least two or three players on the depth chart just to get the opportunity to have such an impact. Buy or sell: The Bonnies will fill all four scholarships for next year in the Fall.

Buy or sell: The Bonnies will fill all four scholarships for next year in the Fall. I will sell, hopefully they will get three but i dont think they will get all four. Id love to see us sign four high school players next year, but i really doub that will happen. Which leads me to... Buy or Sell: The Bonnies will sign more than 2 four year players next year.

Buy or Sell: The Bonnies will sign more than 2 four year players next year......
Fox, Ivan, Terron, Paul are seniors....so we loose 4 players, three of whom are big men.....
I will take the under on this because you said more than 2 players....had it been 2 I might have taken it. but I just dont see our staff signing 3 out of 4 players next year out of high school.....If the past is any indicator about the future, we will get one high schooler and 3 jucos......
Buy or Sell: Tyler Relph will be worth the wait, and his problems by the end of this his jr year.....and before you answer, think about everything that has happened, all his build up as well as how poorly he played last year.....will he show us his true value this season?

Just ask the women-folk on campus. He's worth the wait.
Buy or Sell: Solomon settles (somewhat) on a rotation this season

I really do believe that Peaches will be worth the wait. By next season his foot should be 100% and NY State's Mr. Basketball should be in shape and ready to let it rain like he did in high school.
