Can we please stop with all of this petty bickering that goes on here? Everybody is acting like a bunch of women. Gansey didn't get drafted, ok who cares. I for one am very interested in finding the schedule because I would like to see if we have a chance at getting 12 plus this year. Losing Ahmad hurts but it seems with our additions that we will have a much more complete team. I also know that this team is a much more pro Solomon squad than last years so hopefully that will help. Any other opinions on how the year is gonna go? and seriously this garbage should end it is like reading a message board designated only for special Ed children.
By the way I think Peaches will be much better but I can see at least one more run in with the law occur.

The 2006-07 list of opponents is securely locked in the vault at Fort Knox (or maybe it's sealed in a mayonnaise jar on Funk & Wagnall's doorstep)
Either way, how dare you ask who we play next season - don't you know that is a mortal sin ?
They'll release the schedule when they are damn good and ready and not a second sooner. So what if we are always the LAST team in the A-10 to announce our upcoming opponents -- it doesn't really matter, does it ?
We'll win a few, lose a lot, and miss the A-10 tournament again anyway, so what's the big rush with releasing the schedule ?
Only those "in the know" at SBU have this information, and it would be easier to get Donald Rumsfeld to give up national security policy than it would be to get a sniff of next year's scheduled opponents.

I am with you SBURIZ. For the last several months there has been very little to read on this board. We all know who is behind it all. So I suggest to the Board Administrator we delete the following threads - Winn Wagon, Mike Gansey, Over/Under and Buy or Sell Bonnies.
Lets get back to the basics on this board such as recruiting or the upcoming schedule. Hey, is there a basketball camp coming up? We can even talk about SBU other sports programs like baseball, womens lacrosse, etc. Some people who use this board are trying to ruin a good thing. Once again, you know who you are.

SBU basketball camp will run July 28th and 29th. Haven't heard a list of committed teams yet.

Actually I think Over/Under and Buy or Sell Bonnies are pretty good. The rest has been mildly entertaining, when there is a drought you oftentimes hope for rain, any rain will help, sometimes it happens to be a flood and you just deal with it, move on.

Hey Friar, Good to hear your opinion....open internet forums like this are a great place for opinions. Although I disagree with some of what you say here; for instance, why do you get to say what gets deleted and what doesn't get deleted? How do you suppose that taking information down from the board would solve the issue of there being "very little to read on this board?" I really don't understand how anyone having conversations on this board in different areas = trying to ruin a good thing? Also how come you have the idea to start conversations about these other topics...but at the same time you aren't personally actually writing in regards to these topics. So here's a question..... has anyone heard the current admissions numbers for the upcoming semester? I had heard it was down 20%, but that was months ago.....anyone have any updated numbers? I am with you SBURIZ. For the last several months there has been very little to read on this board. We all know who is behind it all. If we really are down 60-80 students again the administration needs to do some research and find out why less and less people are coming. I firmly believe a big reason is the administration and police hammering down on social activities between the start and end of my years at Bonas it was very obvious that there was less to do. St. Bonaventure also does a terrible job of marketing themselves to potential students. And MikeNice you must know that I make of hell of a disgusting looking woman.

Don't sell yourself short.
And I agree the admin. has really regressed the past four years or so. Social events... like Senior week are not what they once were.

My daughter selected Nazareth College over Bonas because the dorm rooms at Bonas were outdated and dumpy compared to those at other schools, and the school "is in the middle of nowhere." In addition, she wasn't really impressed with her father's argument that the beverages at The Burton are really, really refreshing.

The dorms are getting upgraded but the fact that the school is in the middle of nowhere is a pretty ridiculous argument even though it is something that potential students do think. My brothers have gone to schools near metropolitan areas and they do pretty much the same stuff that I did at St. Bonaventure. Bonas just needs to market itself better, they were racking up students pre 2002 and now they have been losing them. This is a problem that needs to be fixed and the administration needs to examine the situation very carefully.

They also need to get their academic standards back.

Think about what happened around 2002 and you see the problem. I think the university is doing a good job right now to try and correct the mess created a couple of years ago. However it seems like they are just starting by enhancing the university. The dorms, the library, the science building, the baseball field. Improvements across the campus will help potential students forget about the mess from the past.

I don't believe that too many of the incoming students are harping on the "past mess". I'd say about 10% of the people who ask me where I went to school have brought up the "scandal". And none of those people really know what happened. Just that something did. These are usually people I meet and talk sports with.
If you don't pay attention to sports all that much, you probably don't know about our past.
Likewise, and not to sound sexist, but many young women aren't enamored with sports and have no idea about our bball program. But, for some reason, they don't come either.

They also need to get their academic standards back. The academic standards are fine. So they have a high acceptance rate. Who cares. People on this board need to quit taking jabs at Bonaventure's academic standards without solid proof to back it up.
