Lex James, a 6-foot-9, 230-pound Brooklyn native who played the past two seasons at the City College of San Francisco, signed with new coach Brian Nash and St. Francis (N.Y.).
James, the older brother of Northeastern freshman Shawn James, averaged 13 points, 10 boards and 4 blocks this past season and drew attention from schools such as South Florida.
James, who runs the floor well, blocks shots and finishes in the paint, had previously committed to Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure. He's a big-time get for Nash, who will also bring in 6-7 John Gooden - another New York native.
