If Smith signs he would be the 4th newcomer to be a JUCO and would represent 5 JUCOs on the team (with Wade). Curious how many JUCOs have played with the Bonnies? It must be too early in the morning, because I can think of only 5: Kevin Houston, Rob Garbade, Darren Quinlan, Dan Putney and Isaac King.

Sure hope Andre joins us. Here are comments from a January article: Sophomore Andre Smith who has picked his game up tremendously since the Christmas bread led the way against Dawson with 24 points, 14 rebounds, one shot block and one steal. Smith nearly had a double-double in the first half with 20 points and nine rebounds. Fellow big man Sophomore Jamil Lott also recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds with two blocked shots, sophomore Mark Kruse was just two rebounds shy of having a double-double with 16 points and eight boards and sophomore Will Graham came off the bench to score 18 points.
The Andre Smith Show continued two nights later at home against MSCTC when he put up a monster effort with 20 points, 18 rebounds and three blocked shots.
BTW, fellow teammate (In HS as well) Jamil Lott was selected as an All American 2nd team & is going to Marquette. Andre was the Wildcats leading rebounder @ nearly 10 per game, made 1 block a game, scored 14ppg & lead the way in double doubles. I also like his 39 steals.
Hope you come Andre. We need your inside game.

this guy seems like immediate help. A true blue collar worker that we need. He should be a starter at the 4 from day one. I really like what Solomon is doing.  |
