Only a Sister Margaret Pittsburg flak like you would think its ok to build a Mosque on a Catholic - Franciscan campus. St. Francis preached the gospel not the koran - maybe you missed Theology 101 from Fr. Hugh Eller....hungover? Administrators: is it finally time to consider a ban on firstdev? We have recruits, parents and opposing teams reading the bandwagon from time to time... Go take your politically correct censorship rubbish to UB where you will find a receptive audience. You will find the agnostic UB crowd just to your liking - here we have and are very proud of our Catholic/Franciscan University open to all - but not ashamed of our faith in any aspect. We are defenders of the faith - if you do not like that fact, it just can not be helped. Want a mosque on campus - go to UB.

Administrators: is it finally time to consider a ban on firstdev? We have recruits, parents and opposing teams reading the bandwagon from time to time... It's clear that First Dev is a disgruntled former employee or religious. The Du Q'Aisne stuff is funny up to a point but First Dev never lets it go. Sister has been gone nearing 4 years. If nothing else, let's give the current administration a break so that their positives are the focus instead of constantly highlighting a predecessor. First Dev needs to go away. Or religious what? Faithful Catholics are to be banned? Really? And no I have never ever worshiped at a mosque, nor did St Francis or St Bonaventure either. Just some information for those who missed Catholic Theology 101...... and no Comparative Religions is not the same as Catholic Theology, just for res' information.

First Dev = Disgruntled Former SBU Employee/Religious = Smarmy Not either......just a Roman Catholic Bona grad and proud of it. Great university with a great Catholic/Franciscan spirit. Sorry its not SUNY or CUNY, if you want that secular higher education go there, but Bonas is just not that place, and never will be.

"great Catholic/Franciscan spirit" = TOLERANCE & INCLUSION & Taking care of the poor/vulnerable rather than the top 1% - or maybe you were too hungover for that class.... Tolerance and inclusion of what and whom? Jihadi church bombers who have murdered many thousands of Catholics in Sri Lanka, Bosnia, Kosovo, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, and the Philippines just to name a few. Tolerance and inclusion for those of far left who wish to murder unborn babies as they emerge from the birth canal and those who commit infanticide? Tolerance and inclusion of those who wish to destroy Catholic education and American dioceses of the Catholic church through civil process? Catholics are not compelled to rejoice with those wish to destroy our church, our fellow Catholics, our doctrine and our faith. We are compelled however to defend that faith - and yes even St. Francis was at one point in his life a soldier. Get with the program - our faith is under attack. Serving the poor, sick and defenseless has always been a hallmark of our faith in America. Ever heard of Catholic Charities? Send them a check = they will be very appreciate, believe me. Never missed a Catholic theology class at Bonas....loved the subject.

Yes St Francis was a soldier at 1 point - then he LEFT that and became religious - he was not a soldier wearing his robes - maybe you were in that class but nodded off... Interesting - only the extreme on the left threaten YOUR idea of religion but apparently no threat from the extreme right...yaaaa right you have bo political agenda ,,,, Please enlighten us - tell us what caused the Protestant reformation ? Why did it need reforming? Seems it sure needs more reforming now...

Apparently the extreme left has a problem with historical memory.......hundreds of thousands of faithful Catholics were summarily executed in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. Their "crime" was the their attendance at mass and reception of holy communion. Certainly a side of the 'reformation' you missed in class - hungover?

St. Francis did not directly go from being a soldier to a priest, he had a career in business in between, just for your knowledge. St Francis supported the Crusaders, and at one point attempted to mediate a peace deal between the Crusader leadership and the Caliphate of Egypt in order to guarantee access for Catholic pilgrims to the holy sites in Jerusalem.
