We are a little more than two weeks away from #GivingTuesdayatBonas, a 24-hour fundraising event on Dec. 3 that benefits the outreach ministries of St. Bonaventure University’s Franciscan Center for Social Concern (FCSC).

You might know the FCSC by its popular service programs: Warming House, Bona Buddies, Silver Wolves, SBU@SPCA, and two new programs, Friends with Sisters and SBU Food Pantry.


Please join in helping to raise $40,000 in support of the FCSC mission. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ensure that the many programs and stories of success continue.

I've received 6 emails since 3:48a this morning about Giving Tuesday from SBU. I love Giving Tuesday and feel like I've been very generous with my giving throughout the years, even-though not necessary on "Giving Tuesday".

SIX emails...THREE in the last 3 hours...is that necessary? The University should really learn what SPAM is and how people look upon being SPAMMED. It's Marketing 101...Freshman year, business major stuff. You just don't do it.......

I gotta agree. I’ve received at least 12 emails today. After the first two they went straight to the trash.

It is the routine, not just B ona's. Every school, my wife's school, from every conceivable charity, high school.

They will wear out giving Tuesday, too much competition for your charitable donation.
