Dr Helen Jones, who taught history at Bona's way back in the day, died of a "cardiac event" on Tuesday...she was 85 years old...there will be a memorial service at Bona cemetery tomorrow at 10...she asked that donations be made in her memory to Allegany Public Library...90 West Main Street...Allegany, NY 14706...I had her and I enjoyed her enthusiasm as a teacher of American History...may she rest in peace...

She was a great professor, very knowledgeable, kept our attention in one of those Plassman classrooms on the south front end of the bldg, and a fair marker too. Years later she wrote a fine recommendation for me for grad school. I really appreciated her kindness. May the rain fall softly on her fields of green....Rest in Peace..Helen Jones, PHD
