Let's show some love to the Bonnies walk-ons over the years! 1. Who is your favorite walk-on? 2. Who do you think is our best walk-on of all time? 3. Who do you think is the best "local" walk-on of all time? I am excited to hear everyone's responses! *Most recently two walk-ons that we had prior to this past season were Jack Galatio from Hornell, NY and Jason Lee from Jersey City, NJ. I know Jack transferred to Division 2 Clarion University in Pennsylvania where he played this past season. Below I will list his stats. Does anyone know if Jason Lee played anywhere this past season? Here are Jack's stats from this past season: clariongoldeneagles.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/jack-galatio/6891I saw on twitter a few weeks ago that "Elias_NPH" posted that 6'8 Steven Lazar from Toronto via Crestwood Prep has been accepted to St. Bonaventure and several other D-1 programs on an academic scholarship. I would love for him to join us. Here are some highlights of him below. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMCEg45ZbNk&feature=youtu.be

Randy Hollister - class of '80. Was a great athlete, pitched on the Bona baseball team. Allegedly, would play Hagan for $ one on one. Randy could shoot, but foot speed was not his friend. When we lived in Francis, and townies controlled the Francis BB court for too long, we would get somebody to go get Randy out his dorm room upstairs. He would come down, call next, and then 5 minutes later we would get the court back. Randy went on to get his doctorate, and I believe he is a headmaster at a private boarding school. Great guy.

Favorite recent walk-on is Caleb McGuire. I think Jason Lee transferred to a MAAC school. I could be wrong.

I could be wrong. the logical school for Jason Lee to attend would be Quinnipiac, as that is where his brother is an assistant. Not on the roster, but that could be because he would be considered a walk-on transfer....at least a possibility. Note who the associate head coach is....none other than Tom Pecora gobobcats.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster

He transferred for his last year to walk-on at a D2 where he saw few minutes on a team that only won five games? I would have thought after paying all his dues he would have gone to a school where he could see serious minutes. Also the fact he is from NY and would be paying out of state tuition Clarion is surprising. Thanks for the info though. Always interesting to see how the walk-ins do at other programs.

IMO hands down the best walk on was Billy "The Kid" Kenville. Took Bonnies to NIT twice, team ranked as high as #4, honorable mention All American consecutive years, top scorer senior year (19 ppg), left with 5 scoring and 2 rebounding records, 7 yrs NBA with a Championship ring with Cuse Nats. See "Fred Crawford" thread for more details on the kid from Queens who never played HS ball. Billy is in Bona HOF and up for discussion for a banner.
