Quintin had a real good prep season at Mercersburg (PA) Academy. 12.8 ppg, 9.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game, shooting over 58 percent from the floor.

What can we expect from Adaway?
6-5 200lbs.. he's got a similar body and experienced background like Courtney Stockard did when he emerged. Is their game similar? Did I just make too lofty of an expectation re. my Stockard comparison or..no?

Based on what I've seen and read rom his body of work/video/print from Miami and Indiana high school, he is thought to be the most athletic player on the roster. While Courtney was a little bit "streaky" think back to the opening minutes of the Davidson game a few years back, with respect to his 3pt shooting, I would say that he is a better shooter from deep than Jalen is. Both appear to be very strong defensively. Think about how many times Courtney stepped in to take so big charging calls. I still think back to the big shot Courtney hit to beat Maryland. So if there was a big shot to take, Courtney wanted the ball. At the risk of jinxing him, Jalen has not had to deal with two fairly serious foot injuries, so from a wear and tear standpoint, Jalen "has a foot up". In fairness, Courtney has done it, and Jalen's legacy is yet to be sculpted. Looking at it from a different standpoint, I think part of the discussion will have to do with the fact that they played on very different teams. This team looks to be very different, fewer stars, no Adams, no Mobley, no Courtney, but seemingly, a lot more guys who can contribute. Courtney played a lot of minutes in the"4" role, Jalen may get some time there, but it seems like Justin/Jalen Shaw/Eddie Creel or even Quinn may get some of those minutes. Lastly, despite being an "unknown" Coach Schmidt seems pretty excited to have him. I remember thinking when Jalen was added thinking, really another big guard, obviously Coach didn't it see it that way.
