Suddenly this week’s two games appear to be much tougher challenges. A10 will be a wild ride in 2021.

St. Joes leads Rhody by one at half.[/quote] Going to OT. Crazy end of regulation with Joe ahead 3pts. Russell gets fouled with 4secs left. Ties it on free throws.

Good that URI won, obviously, for our SOS and for the league. St Joe's really should have won though..hoping that translates into a totally demoralized team making the long road trip up to Allegany...

Agree with the above. I tuned in to the Rhode Island Saint Joe’s game as they were replaying the action at the end of regulation. With eight seconds left and Rhode Island down 370 to 67 as fast Russell went into the front court, He threw up a kind of prayer, b ut we bailed out by St. John’s player who fouled him. That’s got three shots hit all three in the game goes to overtime and downhill from there ultimately Rhode Island wins the game. That’s the announcer notes this was a crushing loss for Saint Jcally they had the game one. I also had watched part of the Duquesne George Washington game yesterday and I came away thinking the dukes deep and have a lot of height. GW hung around for most of the game but the dukes were able to pull away in the end. So I wasThinking the groups we’re gonna be a tough out and in the rematch with GW today, the colonials end up beating Duquesne. A couple more thoughts On you can. They’ve got a freshman Campbell guard out of New Jersey who chimed in with 14 points. They also snatched this kid from pit who is a 6 foot nineWho also looked pretty good. Add those two to the usual suspects Weathers, Hughes, their point guard, scercy, and the three point specialist, hyphenated name, and a couple of other returning contributors and you ve got a pretty dynamic group. In Bar near future we got St. John’s coming in Wednesday, looking for their first win, having that Rhode Island off the hook. I did hear the announcer in the Saint Joe’s game today say that foster and Ryan we’re not available. I looked at their most recent game against VCU and foster played but Ryan did not. That’s what made today’s effort against Rhode Island even more impressive. I’ve watched GW a couple of times and they seem to be getting better and better. So with the exception of Fordham, and even they seem to give us a tough game I think we’ve got our work cut out for us this week and we should not be looking past either the Wednesday game or the Saturday game. Lastly, more opinion then anything else, I think it’s going to be critical to get more solid minutes out of jalen Shaw. Two or three minutes are not going to enough. I think from a situational standpoint, when these other teams are going to rotate Two or three bigs we are going tonwear shoot out. St. Louis is a good example. Sorry, one more thought, in the back of my mind I wondered if the four minute rest that Lofton got because of foul trouble at the end of the Richmond game didn’t pay an indirect benefit, and that he clearly was a little bit fresher and thatMay have made getting off that jumper at the end a little easier. I’m sorry I tried to dictate this and my iPad changed just about everything I said, sorry if it’s hard to read.

I got the chance to take a Look at the box score from the second George Washington versus Duquesne OK. What jobs are they actually right away is the sharpshooter Jamison bottle is finished with 29 points,Bishop, Wake forest transfer how did 18 and the Syracuse transfer, Moyer added 17 pots and 15 boards. While the dukes out rebounded gw again 41to 32. The colonials were 14-18 from tthe charity stripe and the dukes were 10-23. Weathers had a double double, 19 puts, 12 boards, but he was 3-10 in his ft. Hughes 7 mins, 4 puts. Dukes again used 10 players, but in a close game 75-73 GW. THE DUKES WON THE DAY BEFORE 75-63. If teams have to play those back to back games and hopefully we don t have to,play many, it’s really important that we start stretching out guys coming off the bench. We can t go from 4-5 mins for a guy and then ask him to be ready to play 20. Likewise Kyle can t be asked to play 38 mins one day and 38 mins the next. Hyatt s a reality of the way things are shaping up this year. Shaws, creel said robertsband I would alpha are all going to play important roles if we are going to compete against slu, duqueaene Dayton and Davidson. All these teams are big and go very deep. While it s not realistic, I am still hoping we can add a grad transfer who can give some more rebounding/defense down low.

Agree Fordham was the better team, particularly down the stretch. Everything body take note, if you are not prepared or fully engaged in every A10 contest anybody can beat anybody. The dukes and Davidson in a chess match on cbs sports.

Fordham 55, Dayton 54. A stunner.
Davidson handled Duquesne, 61-48.

I didn't see much of the game, but apparently Davidson went down to Duquesne 24-12 at the 7 minute mark of the fist half. As the final score indicates, they outscored the Dukes 49-24 over the last 27 minutes of the game. What I did see was some real good team defense from Davidson, down the stretch they worked the ball got so good looks and we know what that's like, for the game not great from three, but when it counted, they were deadly. The wildcats have added a big, that like Brancovic, can play inside or out. So the show doesn't depend on Grady, but when a lot of guys could not hit a shot, Grady stepped up. Dukes were in it for a good portion of the second half, but even an 8 pt lead against Davidson is almost impossible to overcome. I'm not going to spell his name right but McKissop, the Davidson coach, won his 600th tonight.
