Kind of stinks when I have to breakdown my posts for explanation, to begin with its not in the 2022 recruits thread because I was responding to a certain poster's assumption that the BONNIES' staff DOES look at 4 star recruits, unlike what they posted. I used "kicking the tires" as a metaphor because I believe the BONA staff was looking at the former Maryland commit and did not want to imply the BONA staff was offering him which is what would have happened with certain "excitable boy" posters on this board.

sorry sip, I didn't do due diligence. It's gotten to the point that reading the BW just gets me frustrated. I used to find the recruiting threads and what folks were able to uncover to be part of the fun of coming on the board.

My bad mn, didn't mean to take it out on you, know what you mean, every thread goes off the rails, I need to block myself from this board for awhile.

I saw this on the Putnam Science Academy Twitter Account in conjunction with being back at school. I don't know if our guy is in the short clip, but I thought I would leave it up to someone else to take a look.

Any chance Bona offers Damani Barley? 6'5 PG who can score would be nice... He has been mentioned on both boards, however I am not sure if we have officially offered.

From The DC article referenced above = College interest Division I offers were pouring in long before Damani dropped a career-high 41 points, and prior to improving his scoring average to 35 points per game during the Eagles' first six games.
Division I programs that have offered Damani a scholarship include Canisius, Bryant, Siena and Albany. Other colleges have also shown interest, including University at Buffalo, St. Bonaventure, Kent State and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
"We're not going to get too excited if more offers come. The school's that have already offered are definitely in the running," coach Barley said. Damani hopes to catch more eyes during his next AAU run with the New York Jayhawks. He'll have plenty of coaches watching him play on the Adidas 3-Stripes Select Basketball circuit in April. Some of Damani's Jayhawk teammates already committed to D-I programs: Ryan Dunn (Virginia), Jamarques Lawrence (Nebraska) and Jaquan Harris (Seton Hall).
"I think they have big plans for Damani too," coach Barley said. "He just has to keep grinding. A lot of people are starting to know of him.
Enrolling with a "big name" prep school, even before this school year is over, is still an option for Damani. His family looked into Westtown School, a prep school in Pennsylvania where 7-foot-2 forward and Duke-commit Dereck Lively plays
