If the 24/7 Sports call is correct, it will be a disappointment I really liked RJ Luis's game. Waiting until Saturday would seem anti climactic. RJ is from Miami and Martin coached high school down there and has a lot of contacts. I'm guessing the staff knows what's up and maybe a call goes out to Kosy Akametu, who knows.

Believe our young 6'6 sf from California may be visiting. Luis I am afraid will cast his lot with UMASS and the wild man

Bjif, is the kid from CA and the high level player one in the same? Or are these two separate recruits you’re talking about?

bjif, thanks. Viva la difference! As a recruiting info junkie you've given me some stuff to ponder, that will get me me through the rest of the day. Think about Rokas, Noah, Justin Powers, Kosy and maybe the mystery guest, priceless.

If I was within driving distance of campus, I'd put my tent up on some campus green space, bring a book and live in the reds! Unfortunately there wouldn't be much for you to see. In the past, a part of a recruit visit was scrimmaging against the team. With all the transfers it has been different this spring. There hasn't been enough players left on campus to have a scrimmage. Yesterday I received a call from a Bandwagon poster, who said he saw 4 players running sprints with Coach Fiske in the Reilly Center. The 4 players were Brett, Justin, Anouar and a new player that he didn't recognize. Justin by far is the player I've seen the most, working out in the Reilly Center. -- In a previous post Bonaballa made a comparison of Justin to LaDarien Griffin. I can't think of another player that worked out in the RC as often as LaDarien. I think a lot of LaDarien's development can be attributed to his hard work. Like LaDarien, Justin appears to be a gym rat. -- Justin's jump shot looks like it has improved. -- Justin's game reminds me of Dion Wright. -- Justin is my way too early choice as top returning player.

Pretty sure Barry Evans is there for the summer sessions. Or was it possibly a recruit running with them?

As always thanks to Chuck, always enjoy the read.
Likewise 2fal4life for any report from the RC
Rooting so hard for JNT, Brett and Anouar.
Based on bjif's post about Kosy being in for a visit with a mystery player, I've been watching both the portal and twitter until I'm bleary eyed.
So when I saw on Twitter a couple of hours ago an SBU Unfurled tweet, with a "He's coming" my brain went into overdrive, I thought I saw another tweet from carpenter with a player's name, but couldn't find it again. I really couldn't make out what was pictured in the SBU Unfurled tweet, there were some question marks down at the bottom of the pix. I so wanted it to be something. but after checking and checking, the next thing that came out of SBU Unfurled was the beer contest, which I'm sure is of interest to many, but deflating to me. "He is coming" I'm guess referred to somebody like Captain Beer or other noted personality to the beer event.
Time to call it quits for a while. RJ Luis decision tomorrow at 5/6pm. I have every indication, based on Kosy's visit to think RJ's choice is UMass, sure our coaches know.
So we've had Jocius, Waterman, Powers, Kosy and a mystery person, all good we hope,

As expected (at least as of late), Reggie Luis to UMass 🤮🤮 We may not like it, but it is still tough to get someone to commit to the perceived "isolation" of SBU area--even after a great visit and all sorts of other advantages. Of course, I have no idea if that was a factor in his decision but certainly possible and look at all the others who seemed like great fits who pass. After all these weeks we still have only one true recruit outside the portal and 4 open ships. The "isolation" is a tough hurdle to overcome and one many of us often under-emphasize. Last year it was "who would come given few minutes open?" But this year.....
