Patricio Prato wore #20 for the Bonnies. CT's grandson would wear PPs team jersey at Rose Hill games. He still has the jersey.

Positive vibes from Barry and his parents. He has been described as electric and is 6'8 with 6'11 wingspan. Would love to see him and Andour on the floor together. By the way there is plenty of room for Mr. Newell. Basketball and studies is what we now sell on the recruiting trail.

Charley Tarulli (CT) was at Bona with the Stith brothers. I attended Tom's funeral with CT. Grandson was a big Patricio fan.

Noticed that Grant Newell has been offered this past week by Nevada. They currently have seven underclass forwards on their roster. They are known for over recruiting much like Cuse and this is a great kid who should be aware of what he might experience. Here he would be told much like this past years class as to his role and projected minutes. This young man is meant to be a Bonnie. Let's get a visit maybe for the opener and the RC ROCKING!

per SBUunfurled Barry Evans, Jr. has committed to St. Bonaventure. The 6'8" wing from Baltimore has serious athleticism and handles for his size.
He'll play a prep season at Putnam Science Academy (heard of it?) this year. The Pipeline remains strong!

John CavaliereRT @adamfinkelstein: Bonnies go back to a familiar spot @psahoops to land long & versatile lefty utility wing Barry Evans from @teammelo2022
I like that = "a familiar spot" - to quote Chico Escuela, "Putnam has been berra, berra good to SBU"

Do not want to be overly optimistic, but the physical attributes of Barry Evans and his parents apparent appreciation of what SBU offers bodes really well.
The family must have met the teammates that he will compete alongside of and not felt a challenge to his talents certainly shows a competitive level they're willing to face.

I read that he backed out of commitment to St John’s because he thought it would be better for him to get out of NYC That would play right into Schmidt’s “no distractions, just basketball” recruiting pitch
