Greg - any additional commentary now that we know that Mary's dress sways, not waves. Interesting it took about 45 years to clear up.

No, nothing beyond Landau's statement. Old friend Miami Steve told me he would not comment and Garry Tallent did not respond. I was around Bruce when he was writing song but can't recall anything on lyrics--but the lyric sheet with the original test pressing, as well as finished album, had "waves." I still hear "waves" but happy that at least this is a great song and not crap to argue about. Misheard lyrics are great meme, going back to "Excuse me while I kiss this guy."
