Loyola (NET 27) at Northern Iowa (NET 100), 6:00 today. The winner will be the regular season MVC champion. Go Northern Iowa! Northern Iowa wins in OT to claim Valley regular season title. AJ Green with 32 pts. Great finish. It's official. No one can call Northern Iowa a "bad loss".

NI wins MVC and beats bubble team Loyola to boot. Shoutout to Pinnum. He's been saying along that NI would not end up being a bad loss. Now Lunardi needs to stop putting NI as a bad loss for us when he's doing his bracketology reports. We have no bad losses.

Kudos to UNI and AJ Green...he's a hell of a ballplayer.
I never thought of UNI as a bad loss. I knew they would be there at the end battling Loyola. That said, UNI must win The Valley to ensure a Dance ticket. Otherwise they will be squarely on the bubble. At worst, Panthers head to the NIT.

St Mary's doing an outstanding defensive on Gonzaga, 36-21 at the break. Timme 0/8, Holmgren just 4 pts.
Gaels are really blanketing Timme in the paint, three guys sag in and tie him in knots. No end to end slams for Holmgren, SMC cuts him off before he reaches the lane. Result, Zags shoot only 31%.
Gaels have a very good bench duo, but Kuhse is their sparkplug.
Other two times Gonzaga trailed at half, they lost.
Incredibly, teams 2 thru 6 in the AP poll have all been upset.
I expect Providence to move up to a possible top 5 spot on Monday.

St. Mary's stuns #1 Gonzaga, 67-57. Gaels were superb.
For the first-time in AP poll history, 7 top-10 teams lost on the same day.

Well, Loyola exits The Valley with another conference crown, downing a stubborn Drake club 64-58 to earn their Dance ticket.
Ramblers will be a welcome addition to the A10. They find ways to get er done.

UB lost to Kent State in MAC qtrs. Bulls are toast. That game Friday was regular season finale. MAC tourney does not start until Thursday. UB plays Akron. Our pre-season friends from Kent State finished with 12 straight wins and 14 of 15. They are the MAC’s #2 seed.

Well I'll be...ol' Mr. Pick & Pop himself, Josh Ayeni, playing as a reserve forward for Chattanooga in tonight's SoCon title game vs Furman. Avg 4 2 ppg, 2 3 rpg, 49% fg.
UTC is Josh's 3rd school, after Bona and South Alabama.

Josh Ayeni is going dancing! David Jean-Baptiste hit a 40-ft runner at the buzzer in ot, Chattanooga stuns Furman, 64-63. SoCon champs.
The Paladins scored on a driving layup with 4.3 sec. Jean-Baptiste got the inbound, dribbled past half-court, split two Furman defenders and let it fly...horn...swish...Bedlam.
Rob Lanier's Georgia State Panthers won the Sun Belt by 9 over Louisiana to punch their ticket.
