According to a NYT story today, teams like Oklahoma, Rutgers, Wyoming, X and A&M are among six teams in consideration for four spots (can't remember the 6th). It would be three if Spidey wins the A10 as a bid stealer. The brackets I've seen has X out. If the Musketeers get in, it will have a Tulsa-like rotten smell that Our Guys experienced in 2016. I believe A&M will go based on their exceptional SEC tourney run regardless of the final result vs Tennessee. X was among the poorest P6 clubs in the past five weeks. Plus they lost to Butler in the BE qtrs. No way do they belong. Totally agree, OHS. Xavier lost 8 of 9 and was not the same team from mid-season but the committee doesn’t seem to care about finishes. Are we not picking the BEST at large teams? At least the College Football Playoffs come out and say they want the “best 4 teams” NOW. Not the best resume for the entire season.

Noting two of teams we did NOT schedule ,Vermont and Colgate ,won their tournaments and automatic bids ,while a player from Hamilton Ont ( Grace” )made the critical play for Richmond as it won’t the league’s bid. At least we have a home and home with uni

I didn't know where to put this, maybe in the incidence of coach firings isn't any different then other years, but just looking at the SEC, makes you want to shake you head. In the SEC it could be there is so much money riding on the line. Open jobs, Florida, Mike White created the opening by leaving Florida, for Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri, LSU and according to the tweet, Miss State may join the list after the NiT and Ole Miss is up in the air.
To me, these are big schools with big budgets, it's what makes what Coach Schmidt and Bonaventure is able to do, all that much more impressive. Sure we have issues but so proud of what our program has done.

At least we have a home and home with uni UNI was better game and series to schedule. … but Vermont is #52 Net and would have been a better game this season — especially if we would have won. It’s luck of the draw. UNI should be the favorite to win the Valley next season with Loyola moving to A10.

UNI was better game and series to schedule. … but Vermont is #52 Net and would have been a better game this season — especially if we would have won. It’s luck of the draw. UNI should be the favorite to win the Valley next season with Loyola moving to A10. And Colgate is #128 in NET... At the time the games were scheduled, UNI was the better game and series. They had a slow start which hurt them in the metrics. But they won a far better conference than the AEC or the Patriot. They have more talent than Colgate or Vermont. And historically we have recruited the Midwest and UNI has a much higher name recognition in those midwestern cities. UNI was the better one to schedule. Vermont is close but Colgate isn't in the same ballpark.

If you thought UNI was shooting at an unreal clip against us in the RC then you should be extremely thankful we didn’t play Colgate. #3 three pt shooting team in the nation. That would have been a nightmare match up for our guys.

That would have been a nightmare match up for our guys. Colgate isn't much different than UNI in many regards. Colgate went 3-9 in D1 games OOC--including a loss to *gasp* Niagara. Had a horrible record early in the season leading many people to think that they weren't as good as expected (despite their win over Syracuse). Then went on to win their conference regular season--like UNI. The difference of course is that UNI played in a much tougher conference. Colgate is a good team who would have been an interesting matchup for the Bonnies and who could win a game in the big dance. But if we did schedule them and they beat us people would have been saying the same things they said about UNI after Colgate had so many losses OOC.
