One of the best JUCO talents left in this cycle and believe he has 3 years of eligibility remaining. If I were the Bonnies, I'd scoop him up stat. Have had some success with JUCO guys in the past as have many other programs. JUCO talents translate. Go Bonas! Yeah, sometimes they do translate but we have also seen guys come from bigger programs and they can't produce in the A-10. Quadry Adams and Coulibaly to name some recent ones. Planutis came from a d-1 school and his numbers never translated. Linton Brown was suppose to be a top judo and his game did not translate. What juco's have we had good luck with? Just curious b/c I can't really think of that many.

Some of the very best players at St Bonaventure in the Schmidt era were JuCo players. Maybe you have heard of Marcus Posley, or Courtney Stockard, or Jonathan Hall or Jaren Holmes… we could be here til morning

Anyway Jones the JUCO all-American seems like a really good get if he can land him. Johnson, the frosh, yeah you wanna keep the Putnam pipeline flowing
I’m intrigued by that Hofstra point guard though - Carlos. I didn’t follow Hofstra all that much but I know he was internet famous in high school for some ridiculous scoring numbers. We are talking high school games where he scored like 90 points or something crazy. Then I heard he’s all defensive player at Hofstra?? Wow

I don’t give a rats arse if you do or don’t follow the team, it sounds like you are already there if you didn’t know of the 4 great players I mentioned And no I’m not interested in trivia, I just dont know how someone could be so confident about something so wrong. Especially after someone else more politely told you you were wrong. Then it’s just confidently stupid. I would be embarrassed! But that’s the way of the world now, say something stupid as long as you are sure about it. Sad

The 3 visitoors this weekend and the 4 upcoming visitors all seem intersting. Am not sure if CARLOS has one year or two left, several P4s have contacted JAQUAN since he entered the portal including Iowa where BOWEN is leaving.

Good - maybe just go away then? You provide zero sensible or informed insight to the board. Teams win National Championships with JUCO transfers.

Is anyone the board able to put together a list of the guys we are in on with their measurable and year of eligibility? Things seem to happening pretty quickly and harder to keep track of. I know SBUunfurl has but it has been tough to follow it on Twitter!

JAQUAN CARLOS 6'1" has played 3 years at HOFSTRA.
He has turned into an impressive playmaker after his high scoring (25 ppg) years at Thomas Jefferson HS in Bklyn. He made headlines in NYC with his 92 & 90 point games. Senior year 4 game stretch averaging 75 ppg. He was NYS # 6 PG and # 38 PG nationally.
At Hofstra he was #3 scorer @ 10.4 ppg taking 3rd most shots. He didn't look to shoot much focusing on making plays for others. 6.3 Assists (Mika had 3.2 a game) and a 2.4 A/TO Ratio. His turn overs kept his A/TO ratio lower than expected. #2 in Assists in the CAA conference. He set a CAA record of 19 assists against North Eastern in a 82-62 win. 10.4 ppg, .413 FGs, .344 TREYS, 89% FTs, 4.4 rebs, 53 steals. CAA All Defensive team
URI, Cuse, GA Tech, LMU. Va Tech, VCU, Temple & BC showed interest wihin 2 days of him entering the Portal. Iowa has interest.

Following is why Justin Johnson has been at the top of my wish list. — At rally celebrating Putnam’s season, head coach Espinoza states following about Justin “You’ll go down as one of the best Mustangs of all time.” — In the last 10 years, Justin has the 3rd highest scoring average at Putnam, The two players who have scored more than Justin in a season; Hamidou Diallo (1 year as a freshman starter at Kentucky, drafted by Nets) and Hassan Diarra (6th man on UConn’s National Championship team). — Named Power 5 AAA Player of the Year. — Justin’s absence (injured in semifinal game) is a key reason why #1 ranked Putnam was upset in the National Prep Championship game. — At SOH Elite camp Justin was named to the 1st team. Every player on the 1st team has multiple offers from P-6 schools. Kur Teng Rivals 44th ranked player was MVP of the camp. Justin is the leading scorer on a Putnam team with 4 players having multiple P-6 offers. Amdy Ndiaye signed with Pittsburgh. Oswin Erhunmwunse signed with Providence. Ben Ahmed a junior with 6 (P-6 offers). Imahri Wooten a junior with 7 (P-6 offers) including Syracuse. Putnam also has 3 other players who have signed D1 scholarships. Guard Que Duncan a junior starter at Putnam has received offer from Bona. Bona also offered 6’9” Grant Randall, who had a similar career at Putnam as Duane Thompson. Started out as a reserve with little PT and developed into an important role player in February and March. Quinnipiac got a steal signing Randall. /photo/3 twitter.com/PSAhoops?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^authortwitter.com/PSAhoops?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
