Don’t remember any blocked shots by OO. Mason seemed to beat us to loose balls. Inserting Adams may have given team more energy. Far too many open threes for a team that had little inside presence. Bonas seems to play as if they can turn it on whenever they want. Hard to overcome large deficits when Bonas plays at s slower pace with fewer possessions. Team turned inside shots when Mason had no shot blocker. Don’t know how Schmidt could allow an 18 point deficit without calling timeout. This was a team Bonas should have beaten. Another bad loss.

Wow really thought we had a bench this season....boy was I wrong. Is it possible next year’s roster features more than 2 players who have ever played more than 1 minute for Bona? Coulibaly, Adams and Durosinimi have to be considering a transfer

This is who we are. A veteran team with a limited bench that shoots 40% from field and 30% 3 pts. What I don’t understand is why we keep doubling players which leaves an open 3shot. Loft playing on bad ankle is hurting us on both ends but Schmidt has no choice. And the comparison made about Shoon and Marcus Camby - Come on man!

Be nice to be back in the RC for the Brown and White. This team has to find last years mojo. If they do, we all know the potential for a great team is there. The way this game started like most have, you knew it would be an uphill battle for the Bonnies. St. Joe's is no slouch, the Bonnies better come out with some fire.

I’d start Adams next game. Shake it up. Even if he only play 10 minutes still. Stop doing the same freaking thing every game. It’s not working.
Sans a bunch of really absurd comebacks, we might not even be .500 overall

Wish we had AJ Vasquez this season ...great 6th man. He was awful last year--shot 28% and that was only because he got to play an entire half against Geo Wash scrubs in end of year blowout. Weak defensively. MO was to maybe make first shot--then miss 3 or 4 in a row and yanked. Come on. He is already off weak team he transferred to.

We are also the same team who won the A-10 championship last year. Same team. I know, it doesn’t look that way. And I’m asking the same questions everyone else is asking. But it’s definitely a Jekyll/Hyde scenario.

VCU in same boat. We definitely haven’t improved and the book is out on how to play us

From the stat sheet: Quadry with 2 TOs in 2 minutes of playing--and yanked. Well, he returned for final 30 seconds.
Adaway shot over 50 percent--but only 7 shots. Dom took 12 and Holmes 15. Kyle took 11 but 2 were airballs and 3 others barely hit the front of rim.
Osun, besides getting outplayed in every other facet, also had 0 assists.

Mason relied much more heavily on their treys than usual. With 10 mins left in the game 73% of their shots were from deep. With the game in hand they ended with 64% of shots treys.
Win or loose a consistent pattern of being outscored from deep was seen again. In spite of hitting a decent 35% treys they outscored us by 21 from beyond the arc.

That’s how you should play against us. Go 4 perimeter shooters, pound it inside, wait for the double team, kick outside and rotate the ball until you find the open shooter. On the other end of the floor, we won’t have the size or athleticism to exploit your smaller lineup

After playing together for so many years I would think our offense would be so fine tuned that we would be getting good looks and some easy baskets. I don’t pretend to even understand Schmidt’s sets but we seem to struggle getting open shots.

What’s the point of having Shoon if we’re just going to double the post every time? It never works. Always leads to an open 3.
The bench sucks. Flat out. I understand Adams and Coulibaly played in the ACC, but they’re just not reliable options. Adams is too frantic. Coulibaly has cement feet. Our only hope is that Linton can give us a lift upon his return.
