It is unfortunate, when people post a rumor of what they hear and then are criticized. How does anyone know if Ganyguy's post is made up? It is extremely unlikely this is a made up post. Ganyguy has made 461 posts on the Bandwagon. Seriously doubt he would find the need to all of a sudden post something he made up. If it doesn't happen doesn't mean the rumor was false.

Rumors might very well be correct, but things can change. Years ago I posted about Jamaal Caterina was going to sign with the Bonnies. I received a lot of criticism for posting something that was incorrect. My source told me Van Breda Kolff was furious with Caterina. On his visit Caterina told VBK that he was signing with the Bonnies. Caterina changed his mind when he arrived home. I haven't posted a rumor since. I've received many rumors that have turned out to be correct, but there is always a chance something can happen or a player changes their mind.

Cris Moses posted a rumor about Brett leaving and then there were demands for him to apologize. Chris apologized and since his apology Chris has made just 2 posts. This is unfortunate as Chris had many insightful posts. Chris' post could have been accurate. Brett could have changed his mind. We just do not know.

Bigd posted about hearing rumor that Anouar said he needed surgery as he tore his ACL. Bigd received criticism when Chuckie Maggio, said the rumor was false. Was it false? At the time, I heard Anouar hurt his knee. Did Anouar think it needed surgery? Again we do not know. Like Chris, Bigd hasn't posted much since. I am thankful for Bigd's post in May about his observation of Justin, Anouar and Brett working out in the Reilly Center. Bigd received 9 likes for this post. Hopefully we have more posts from Bigd about his observations.

Chuck. Your post reminded me of something I did probably 25 years ago. I was friendly with a Bona Board member who was also a big supporter of the sports teams. I asked the member if he had any insider info. They told me that Bona was close to signing a tall prospect from Africa, who had huge upside. Of course I posted it. And it was not true. I think the board member just wanted to see how quickly I posted their "inside info". I appreciate all the time and enthusiasm that Mbonnie puts into our recruiting news and rumors. I would rather daydream about the "what ifs" for our team, then watch MLB.

Information that is heard regarding recruiting and then shared on the bandwagon is a good thing. Rumors abound and some become a reality. However real "Inside" information is not often shared on the Bandwagon prior to official announcements. The source would not want it shared publicly and the person sharing it would be cut off for exposing what was not meant for public consumption.

chismoses ASSURED all readers that BRETT would be gone by a specified Monday. Based on a "source" that he indicated was always correct. Posters should be cautioned about such guaranteed pronouncements. But encouraged to share what they are hearing. Agree with CHUCK that chrismoses is an excellent contributor to the Bandwagon.
