Jeffersonville senior Will Lovings-Watts will announce his college basketball choice this afternoon inside Johnson Arena. The announcement was originally slated for Tuesday.
His five finalists are: Bradley, Drake, Kent State, Massachusetts and Murray State.

All schools listed are dated and Drake is on the list. He decommitted from Drake.
I heard yesterday he was waffling. Putnam is great option as number 1 national prep team
Make no mistake the kid is a skilled 2G and rated a 3 star. He is 6'4 with strong overall 2G skill set.. Clearly would fight for PT.

Word is he committed to SBU yesterday I have been searching everywhere and have not found any corroboration. This would be another tremendously solid signing if true. But I will wait for some proof before letting the excitement boil. |

I sure hope what Ganyguy heard is correct. Will Lovings-Watt would provide a solid 3 point shooter, which is currently lacking on this team. As a junior Will made a very impressive 48% from 3s. As attached Hudl videos display, Will is very athletic. Will has an interesting, impressive and complicated background. — As a sophomore was a 4 star ranked #76 by 247 Sports and ranked 4th top player in Indiana. Made Rivals Top 150, ranked at 147. — As a sophomore Indiana was in “periodic contact” with Will and he made a visit to Indiana University. Attached “Lovings-Watts has been on Indiana’s radar for over a year now. He opened some eyes with an impressive showing at IU’s team camp last June, and the interest from the Hoosier coaching staff has grown from there.” Despite the numerous contacts with Indiana, they never made an offer. - As a junior Wills ranking at 247 dropped to a 3 star and ranked at 208. At Rivals he is a 3 star and not ranked nationally. Currently 247 has Will ranked at 254. — Signed with Drake last November, but de-committed from Drake in April. — June 6 announced he is going to Putnam. Big question is what caused Will’s significant drop by 247 and Rivals from his sophomore to junior year. — Will struggled with his shot during the summer with his AAU team Indiana Elite. There was suddenly concern about his jump shot. Attached “Playing for the 2022 Indiana Elite Adidas program, like most players Lovings-Watts showed some rust in late June as AAU action picked back up. His progression since then has been clear.” As a sophomore Will shot just 29% from 3s, but raised it to 48% as a junior. Unfortunately for Will his ranking by 247 and Rivals never improved. Will’s situation is interesting. — Players like Kyle Lofton choose prep school, because they feel they are under recruited. Putnam gave Kyle a chance to improve his profile.
