Simply put, we found the cheapest way to get rid of the jerk. Insurance covered it. We might have build up significant additional legal fees fighting his bogus suit. Fox, will Clarence Beeks be in the parking garage ?  |

If Fox is right it sounds like VBK got about half of the $1,200,000 that he wanted. Take away what he made in the NBA and the amount remaining was around $900,000. Good deal for the school.

Just passing on what I heard - I didn't go looking for this information - it fell into my lap.
Sounds about right though, given all the circumstances. Whatever, the incident is behind us now, and I am glad it's over.
I still think back to that day when I was standing next to Gothard Lane watching a softball game and his cell phone rang and it was JVBK turning down the job. After a long conversation, and a couple innings, he called back and changed his mind and took the job.
If not for that second call.............
