Love the enthusiasm of some. Where is the point guard we desperately need? We will need to see expansion in Farrell’s offensive game and Venning must be in better shape. Charley Pride adds depth and experience but is stepping up to A10. How will he do? Have we added a stud forward to rebound? Another year playing in Schmidt’s system will help but how much? Too many question marks to claim the team is LOADED. We lost 7 of our last 8 games with the core group coming back. We still need more talent in my mind. With a few more scholarships to give I hope Schmidt can do it. I agree completely. Stepping up in conference as we've seen--just last year--always a big question mark. I had to laugh when I saw "we are loaded." Maybe "better" but....need at least one more very good signing. And I am with those who feel Banks could play point a lot. I pointed out several times watching games this past year that he was performing very well there filling in -- with the plus that he didn't force shots as per usual. I think he'd be terrific if need be. And before you say, "No, he's SHOOTER," remember that he shot 30% from both two and three in final 2/3s of season...

The player transfer issue has been a thorny issue for all the Big 4 schools this off-season. Buffalo has lost 9 players transferring out. Not totally unexpected with a new coach coming in. There have been no players transferring in this far. Canisius has lost one player, added none. Niagara has lost 6 players to include high scorer Noah Williamson and Gray, the second leading scorer. NU has 7 players on the way in with only one looking like he may provide some help next season. These are tough times for the locals. By these standards we seem to be doing a little better at this point than our local competitors.

Correction to my previous post. I referred to the leading scorer at Niagara who is in the transfer portal as Noah Williamson. His correct name is Noah Thomasson.

I saw the recent count in the portal was 1600+ and that so far 550+ had found a new home.

I feel Banks will shoot better with fewer minutes. We need his scoring. That is his true value to the team. We need to find a point guard.

Clearly extraneous as far as the Bonnies go but, Kasean Pryor, a 6'10" first team JUCO All American, turned down a number of programs, St John's, NC State and I believe I had read from a Billiken's fan that he had also visited St Louis. Kasean chose UCF. I remember Chuck talking about watching Kawan play in the national JUCO final for NW Floriida vs John Logan, who a couple of guys we had interest in.

Love Jay Pals game. He was awesome when I was at the big south conference tourney! He does a little bit of everything and has a high motor! Let’s get him!

Panzo and Pal both discussed on Rutgers message boards as we speak.

Jaden Bediako, Santa Clara big, and Canadian product, who we were in discussions with before we signed Noel Brown has signed with Seton Hall. It looks like Needah Tarke and Tim Dakger are still unsigned, from what I can tell. Not saying we're still involved. It sounded like one guy wanted to start and the other wanted NIL guarantees we couldn't make.

I like Tim Dagler and would definitely welcome him to the squad but I just have a feeling he is going to pick URI as maybe they have the most open minutes.
