If you think Landon Moore will be better than Luc/Rumpel you are lost 🤣 He wouldn’t be better than Luc (Who absolutely should not be starting next year). He would be better than Rumpel, since Rumpel is not a division one player.

Like many, I’ve been rattling the point guard situation around in my mind. Further, I concur that we need much more help with respect to taking the scoring load off of Banks shoulders. I had to remind myself that Banks role at Saint Peter s, what is to be a contributor in their offense , they had three or four additional constructors, including the Drame twins, who are now at la Salle. Tlhey also had a 6’u” shot blocker, something we don t have, I m hopeful thatMartinez can you give us some minutes this year in that capacity. I believe the office needs an overhaul, which means several things. One, we need improved play at the point guard position. I watched the UCLA point guard last night, I believe he’s a senior, but he’s lead this group for the past couple years. That said he s 5’11” 180, very similar to Kyrell, I would say that Bradford, I believe that’s his name looks to be physically a little bit stronger. I looked at his stats and I think that he does a better job distributing the ball, but he also has better options to distribute the ball to. my hope is that this was a learning year for Kyrell and brett and that Miles Rose will be given the opportunity to see what he can do. Back to the overhaul, to me there is no question that we need to add a legit power forward, a guy that can rebound , Defend and give us some scoring. There are several recruits that we’ve looked at that would this bill, but I think at this point that’s a wait time and time is to get back in with to taste and ke points off the board from our opponents by not giving them shot after shot and likewise giving us second chance opportunities. I think it’s just too much to ask Banks or flowers to guard/ rebound giving away 4-5 inches and 25-30 lbs. Farrell s growth as a more complete offensive player is also part of this overhaul, but I am also looking at a 6’6”/6’7” scorer like Daniel Johnson out of Chicago, Or the wing/forward and the link Jadarian Storey out of Florida SWCC to take minutes at shooting guard or small forward. What this all boils down to is two things, one finding/signing the type of player noted above and two a recognition by all including banks that in order to make this work it will involve fewer minutes and fewer shots. I would see Flowers role coming off the bench. One last thought, and maybe this is a wish list beyond what I have noted but I would like an additional big who can give us some quality minutes backing up Venning, that may be our own guy Martinez.

Look at Max Amadasun. Why don’t we just all stop bashing our players. They work their asses off for this School that we all love, and I don’t think there are many, if any D1 players on this board. Give these Student-Athletes a break.

“Student athletes “ seems so 2018. I guess if they are getting paid then they are technically professional athletes and I see now reason to not be able to be critical of their performance if it’s warranted. Let’s face it the game has changed.

Let’s face it the game has changed. They’ve ALWAYS been paid, in terms of scholarships, and in the case of larger schools, added illegal benefits. Nothing wrong with being critical of their performance, but to constantly bash them and say they’re not D1 players is: 1) totally uncalled for and 2) factually inaccurate.

I would think Venning in post will draw defenders for a cutting power forward to exploit...as I have posted in the past a lob to rim should be open.

Rumpel Hill Max Anouar and/or Evans Hopefully not Farrell Once again folks: It appears that anyone who has transferred already now has to sit out a year if transfers again. So Hill and Max unlikely, ditto on Chad, Luc, Flowers, Banks. Are you sure the NCAA is enforcing any transfer rules? They obviously do not apply to Justin Winston who is in the portal again. How many years of eligibility could he have left? www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/justin-winston-1.html

I saw we are showing interest in Tarke, G, from Coppin State. I didn’t know anything about him so I looked at his bio and it said he hit 4 game winning shots and lead the nation in buzzer beaters. That’s clutch

Announcers have said he is the quickest guard they have seen, but no since bona20 doesn’t like his game he’s not a D1 player🤣🤣. You can’t play a lick of ball so don’t speak on it

Maybe Brett needs to find himself a new home if he’s so bad for Schmidt’s system. I don’t know what D1 teams are looking for a point guard that can’t handle the ball with no pressure on him or shoot a little bit. But hey, you know ball much better than anyone else here.
