I liked his game but he wasn’t being used correctly here. He should have been a stretch four rather than a true center. He should do well at a lower level.

A-10 is the lower level. Only Duquesne in post season.

I do agree that Mellouk was playing out of position. At center, he was often overmatched. This was why he was so foul prone. He has skill and athleticism. I wish him well.

All the very best to ANOUAR!
Played 8.3 mpg, 2.4 ppg, 3 assists to 17 TOs, shot 49% (17-35), 3-10 TREYS, 6-16 FTs, 4 blks.
Committed a foul every 4.4 mins, often immediately upon entering the game. On every foul he always expressed a look of astonishment.
He was playing out of position and offered no opposition against players easily backing him in down low. Grabbed a rebound ever 5.7 mins compared to CHAD's 5.1 mins. Amazing that he grabbed as many rebounds on the offensive glass as defensive glass. He was a vocal and supporting teammate and did return to play this season. I am sure our staff will assist him in finding a good match.

If we actually played him as a backup 4 that would have been swell. Good for him if he wants PT and to actually play the proper position.

Hill and Evans play the 4 - and Yann moved to the 4 when Moses was put in the starting lineup. We need another strong 4… either a power player or a shooter. Probably our biggest need besides a PG.

Always sorry to see someone leave before his time is up and without accomplishments that meet his potential. And I hope this does hurt our ability to bring in high quality foreign players as now both of our Northern Europe recruits have moved on after limited success on the court and I presume without a degree, and maybe not good things to say. One thing about him, I thought he was supposed to have elite leaping ability which combined with his 6’8” height offered the prospect of more rebounding and shot blocking. But I never remember a single instance of him showing elite leaping ability on the court. Does anyone else? I mean he could get off the floor okay, but nothing out of the ordinary in my view. Am I wrong? (And damn, if only that put-back shot versus Duquesne had been a fraction of a second sooner!)
