After watching the video (and shout out thank you to Chuck for providing the uni number of the player(s) to look for on the video) I wonder if the team will be recruiting the teammate who is seen hitting several threes (Kiki?) as a quality three point shooter is always a need ( sorry I didn’t get her number).

Counting the numbers I somehow had a brain fart, and I was thinking we’ve got 12 scholarship players we’ve got room for three more players. I guess I must be in NBA mode . I had the same thought about the three point shooter from the Gainesville, GA squad. The truth being with only one more scholarship available for focus would have to be on bringing in a player with size who can contribute. Maybe it’s a grad transfer, or somebody coach Crowley and staff have identified, may be an international player? If they can come up with something close to what the Young sisters have got, the Bono women will be back in business. Again, thanking Chuck for the legwork.

I watched the clip, I saw the one Young girl steal the ball at a key moment in the 4th quarter, dribble behind her back to get separation, and then cross over for the soft layup. That's pretty amazing for a high school girl

No brain fart. Men are limited to 13 scholarships but women are allowed 15

I heard about the Youngs from a highly placed source within the Athletic Dept. The source came away very impressed with their (as well as their mother’s) enthusiasm and gratitude. Sounds like we have a couple of great additions to Bona’s! Does your source know why they aren't listed as Bona recruits anymore?

Saw this commitment on twitter. Woods is 6’2” has some WNY ties and will give the women much needed help inside. Like geneseo, alluded to, I didn’t see the Young sisters mentioned with the other new Bonnie refuits in the go bonnies post that was part of the Woods announcement. I hope that maybe it’s Juarez a glitch in getting the Young sister s paper work in order. Fingers crossed.

Does anyone think Vici Woods played with Sara during her time in Olean in elementary school ball? We can only hope!

I shall refer to Ms. Woods as Veni Vidi Vici (Latin for I came, I saw, I won).

Bonnies get first 2024 commit Mackenzie Pettinelli 5’11” wing from Spring Ford high school Royersford, Pa. Will be a nice addition to team capable of playing multiple positions.

Thanks for the update on women d hoops. I scour twitter most days thinking we are going to make a couple of late adds, ideally with some size . Still lament losing the Young sisters, but this stuff happens. Maybe we go forward with the group we have. I m still hopeful that some last minute jockeying around yields the woman an Adsway or Brockimhgton type. I remember us getting a 6’5” player late who was from London, sadly the player had some health issues andhad to leave the squad.

Again thanks hnk373431, for keeping the information flow and finance women’s basketball flowing. Despite following the men’s program closely for as long as I can remember, I think I paid the most attention to the women’s program in and around the 2012 NCAA run, not surprisingly Coach Crowley was at the helm at that time. The piece on Mac Pettinelli, our first ‘24 commit on the women’s side sounds like she is a Bonnie thru and through, she saw a glimmer of what she could do and then worked her button. We were her first D1 offer, but it s also become clear about coach Crowley‘s style, it’s about building relationships with players. Unfortunately Coach Crowley and his staff are under the gun, it’s hard to build any kind of relationship this late in the recruiting process getting additional help for this year. That said I think Coach Crowley and the staff are out there digging, Klein tooth and nail, and yes I do believe they will land another player or two in the coming weeks. This year will be a start but the seeds are already being sewn for the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes.
