UB defeated Bonas at UB, but Bonas had a 14 point half time lead, but lost 78 to 69.
Dani Haskell (Franklinville HS) is the sparkplug for this team with 22 points, four rebounds, one block shot and one steal. She really reminds me of McKenna and Jessica in many ways especially from three point land!!

The Ladies have shown they can be world-beaters...for a half. Unfortunately, 20 does not equal 40.
Maddie D had a good game off the bench; she seems to play better in that role. Dani has game, but her shot comes and goes. I look for better consistency.
The recruit class of 2024-25 appears solid. Till then, the current 10 on the roster need to hold the fort.

The Bona Ladies "played for the paycheck", a roadie at 7-0 West Virginia, and got a 40-pt stomping for their trouble. Only got to the line four times, but only outboarded by one.
There is better talent this year, just not enough. Looking to '24-'25 campaign to begin the climb.

Impressive game by the Bonnies. When was the last time the Bonnies defeated a team with a winning record? 3 stars in this game for the Bonnies. It was all Dani Haskell in the first half scoring 18 points, with majority of the baskets from 3s. Dani finished with a career high 27 points. Claire Cody hit a big 3 pointer at the buzzer ending the 1st half. It was a sign of what was coming. She scored 14 points in the 2nd half. Claire set a career high with 17 points and was a perfect 4 for 4 from 3s. Isabellah Middleton scored 11 of her 13 points in the 2nd half. She also led the team in rebounds with 9. Isabellah is a 5’9” guard, who leads the Bonnies in rebounding for the season. Impressive stats for Bonnies. — Shot 54.9% from the field and an incredible 15-22 from threes for 59.1%. — Out rebounded the much bigger Loyola team by 10 rebounds (35 to 25). — Out scored Loyola in the paint 24 to 16. Loyola had a starting front line of 6’2”, 6’1 and 6’1”. Had another 6 footer coming off the bench. Going against Loyola’s tall front line, Coach Crowley alternated with 2 centers, 6’0” Taylor Napper and 5’11” Claire Cody. What a difference with Crowley. Last season Bonnies were last in the the A-10 in rebound margin with a negative 9.2 (Bonnies finished last or 2nd to last in rebound margin for Jesse’s last 4 seasons). With Crowley’s short lineup, Bonnies now have been out rebounded by just 4 rebounds for the season. gobonnies.com/sidearmstats/wbball/individual;team=homeatlantic10.com/stats.aspx?path=wbball&year=2023

Chuck, Great post and a much needed one for our women's basketball program! Coach Crowley is doing a tremendous job! He has 10 players and currently 9 due to an injury and these girls are playing very hard and together! I was at the game and it was a lot of fun and a great watch! I am going to follow this team a lot closer now! This was by far their best game and they shot so well as a team. Haskell was very impressive offensively. She hardly ever makes a mistake or looks rattled. Cody was awesome off the bench with catch and shoot 3's! Middleton works so hard and battles the boards and plays bigger than she is. Napper was great on D against several of their bigs. Our guards Laccen and Johnson were awesome controlling the O and they are very pesky defensively! Do you know what the injury is to Dziezgowski and how come Tamar voor de Poort didn't get any time?
We have 5 players listed as a "Senior" and 1 player listed as a "redshirt senior", do you know if any of them have eligibility left after this season and can return?
We were 6-26 last season with 3 wins in the conference and this season we are already 4-8, I definitely think we will exceed 6 wins in a "bridge" type season!

A nice start to A10 play. Perhaps it is by design, but Claire Cody provides instant offence off the pine. She has had some good games as 6th woman.
Dani certainly had her best game as a Bonnie, keep it going.

Not sure how many wins this team will end up with but so much more enjoyable to watch. Will be undersized against all of the A10 teams but they play smart and with a lot of effort which has won me over regardless of how many wins they get. Dani and Maddie will both have the extra Covid year of eligibility next year if they choose to use it. Have no idea whether the jr college transfers get an extra year or not. Cody is currently using her Covid year so will not be eligible next year. Interesting blip on 6’1” Hannah Richardson. herhoopsnetwork.com/2023/12/31/sunday-coffee-report-shooting-touch-showcase/ Thought she was more of a pg but sounds as though she can play forward as well. Definitely a good passer. Enjoy watching the team now but will be fun watching them when they have more depth

34-33 LaSalle at the half! Bonnie’s finish on an 8-0 run! Girls are playing hard and battling! The explorers have played more players than we have already on our entire team! We can win this!!!

Our Ladies are having a rough go of it, but that was expected. No way Crowley could turn water into wine with only nine players and limited talent.
Loyola walloped Bona 78-50 to fall to 4-14, 1-6 A10, tied for the cellar.
Some good recruits are on the way. Just get through this campaign and look ahead to the following year.
