It's high time the Bonnies go overseas or abroad for a summertime trip. This year would have been great with the turnover on the roster. I believe the last time was in 2001 when the team under first-year coach JVB went to London and then Belgium, France for a handful of games in August. Five alums, including myself, accompanied the team for the London portion of the trip. Great stuff. Bonding moments. Develop chemistry. Culture, etc. There is a link here for the schools headed abroad this summer. Interestingly just Dayton (headed to Italy) is the lone A-10 rep globetrotting. Would be nice to do it again. Ireland would be a home run with our alum base. Obviously Canada or the Caribbean would be geographically desirable. I'm feeling a special team is taking shape. Little extra court time would only help. If not 2023, then 2024 could be in the works. Fingers crossed. watchstadium.com/comprehensive-list-of-every-2023-college-basketball-foreign-tour-05-15-2023/

They did a similar overseas trip and they attributed that experience to improved team bonding and chemistry. Let’s not forget that St. Bonaventure embarked on a smaller scale but similar journey in association with a pre-season tournament to the Cayman Islands in 2018 with Kyle, Osun and Dom during their freshman season. I’d say they built some great chemistry that year, even with teammates that didn’t see the floor as much like Alpha.
