Someone posted this to youtube (thanks if it was one of you) www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mx1xy9XpPwI watched some of it and I have some thoughts/questions -Did the press box used to be on the other side or the benches? I saw Jim Baron and the players on the bottom left of the screen, today it is top right -Big time nostalgia seeing the faces, names, and the RC in the 1990s -Bona uniforms though: generally when the shorts arent the same color as the jersey its a bad look. even worse though when the jersey is gold and the shorts white

When and why did they change the configuration of the Reilly Center? Here it appears the benches are on the opposite side from where they are now and the student section was much larger. Unfortunately from the last few years when students now have to claim tickets for games student attendance seems to have dwindled since before coivid

To the best of my knowledge, the benches have remained on the same side of the court since 1980, and probably 1966. There were a few years where they shot game footage from east side of the RC, blocking off some of the red seats to do so. That appears to be the case for this ESPN game vs. Va Tech.

See the locker room tunnel for reference (usually not on TV side) And I’ll second something from earlier: are these the worst Bonnies jerseys of all time?

Thank you for that information Yes, many decades ago, I had a seat in Sec. 8, Row S. The primary game camera was set up on a wooden platform that took up about 4 seats in the top 3 or 4 rows in the center of that section.

The benches are the same and the media rows were in the middle of the two sets of bleachers in the lower bowl behind the benches. There were about three tiered rows of media seating. The TV crew were seated in the second row elevated. As for those uniforms, I went to the UMass game in 1996--yes the one that Camby fainted--and was on line to get into the arena when the AD Dave Diles passed by and started to chat with me. After a few minutes of the chit-chat he wanted my opinion on the new beige/white uniforms. Without hesitation I remarked "they remind me of bad wood paneling from the 1970s." Diles was stunned. He fumbled for words and left me in his wake with the people I attended the game and the others in earshot doubled over in laughter. They were a difficult optic especially on TV.

Haha...almost as bad as the mauve/greenish unis during DeCarli era...looked the color of what Linda Blair spewed during "The Exorcist"

Thanks for the link. It was fun to watch even though we never completed the comeback. It’s still fun to watch Shandue and one of my favorites, Rashaan Palmer, playing. Re the uniforms - they were horrible. I didn’t recall them, but they essentially abandoned the school colors. I can’t recall, but I presume that edition of the Bandwagon led the revolt against them.
