I have refrained from taking aim at the Bona women cagers this season, bc I knew they would struggle.
But jeez Louise, you'd think they could come up with a win every now and then.
Truth is, Bona is 0-14 this calendar year. Shame of it is they were poised to get off the schneid vs Mason tonight. Bonnies led by 10 at halftime, only to fold afterwards and lose by four.
They simply cannot shoot the basketball accurately except at the foul line. Foes press them in crunch time and they can't break it and instead cough it up.
Crowley was hired too late to makeover his roster for this season--thus he was given a short hand.
One can only hope going forward he can recruit bonafide D-I talent that can compete in a rugged conference.
This season, it's a glorified D-II roster sadly, and I do not blame Jim in any way. He is doing what he can given a dearth of talent. And 4-22, 1-14 marks are the results. It's tough.
