GW down 30-38 at the half. They were down by 13.
BUCHANNAN playing great with 13 pts and 5 boards. BISHOP only 6 pts. Expect he goes off the 2nd half.
Difference has been the Explorer 6-1 steals and 0-15 bench points.
Mo matter what the results of this game, GW will come into the RC feeling loose with no pressure.

Kind of a theme developing, if the other team turns the ball over a lot we do better. GW has a lot of flaws but they don’t turn the ball over much

Watching GW scares me, cause they are a weak team in many categories. The type of team that frustrates the Bonnies for some unknown reason.

Correct we travel to Foggy Bottome Wed.
La Salle holds on to win 72-66. GW took a 2 pt lead and held it till 9:00 left. Then their legs gave out. Played only 6! Starters played major mins (40,40,39 & 38).
Difference was -10 PIP and fatigue final 9 mins.
BUCHANANAN 21 pts on 7-16 and 1-1 TREY. BISHOP got his 18 pts (12 in 2nd half).
They shot 47% FGS, 39% TREYS & 79% from the stripe. Only 8 TOs! It appeared that fatigue caused lots of misses to close it out.
They won't want to drop their 13th straight loss this season on home court.

I don’t really get the fear or respect for GW. I don’t think the question is whether they will want to lose their 13th in a row. I presume they won’t want to unless they also want to get their coach fired. IMO the bigger question is whether, at this point of a miserable season, they will want to go to practice and put in the extra effort to prepare for two games to determine if they finish 14th or 15th, then put in the extra game effort (diving for lose balls, etc.) needed to win. I presume they have some players willing to do so but I suspect more of their guys will not and instead will be looking at what opportunities the transfer portal may present, or will focus on academics or on their girlfriend or campus life and will mail in the final week of work. No game is a given, but GW is where they are for a reason.

Or ... they could come out and play their best game of the season against us. If this season has taught us anything, it is that NO GAME is a given. GW just went TOE to TOE with a LaSalle team that just beat our ass handily. We have 10 losses this year for a reason too. Need to bring our A game and NEVER take an A10 foe lightly.
FINISH STRONG AND ROLL INTO THE A10 TOURNAMENT PLAYING OUT BEST BALL - THAT IS THE MISSION.

This is where Schmidt earns his $2mm salary... finding ways to motivate his team against lesser opponents... the Bonnies are 4-12 at GW all-time.

Agree 100 per cent, my point is let’s not pump up GW into something they’re not, but that having been said, it’s on us to play our best and not let them hang around. Is Wednesday their senior night?

Bishop is a great basketball player. A bit of a shame he’s being wasted with that team. I remember last year he did whatever he wanted at the RC

Ceharv... I don’t have any fear of GW nor do I have an inflated respect for their team. Their record speaks for itself.
However I do fear Bona coming out flat and once again displaying their inconsistency against a weaker opponent.
Loss to Canisius at home due to a -24 point differential in TREYS. Loss to Fordham as they shot 51% FGs and outscored us by 9 from deep. We lost by 6. Two losses to Dukes. Our fickle offense scored 15 pts and 23 pts in both first halves!!! Loss to La Salle putting up only 59 pts being outscored from beyond the arc by 12.
I recognize a weak GW squad. My concern centers on our Jykle and Hyde performances. If we come out playing to our ability this is a WIN. That's an IF! I do see signs that we are trending toward greater consistency.
Our 3 wins and 2 losses against the teams above us in the standing indicates a pattern of playing up or down to our opponent.
Go Bonnies!

look this Bonnies team went to La Salle and got blown out merely a week and a half ago. We can't overlook anyone. Especially in a building we have traditionally struggled at against a team with a senior leader that can fill up the scoreboard with the best of them

News flash. This team can lose to ANYONE in the A10. This team can beat ANYONE in the A10. I for one will not pretend to have this team figured out yet. I’ve had some correct hunches on and off this season but, probably like coach Schmidt, realize they are an impossible bunch to figure out.
Those facts probably stump opposing coaches as well. If we play well Wed evening — handle our business professionally and cleanly — then I will start to feel better about our A10 chances. GW on the road scares me like playing at Gola.
Four straight wins to close out the regular season will put the Bonnies on the same trajectory as the stretch in late Nov/December when we won 9 of 10 before laying an egg at Richmond.
Let’s get right mentally. Start showing consistent excellence … and keep chopping wood.
