Late in yesterday’s game, after swearing out loud at the TV I swore off rooting for this team. I decided I’d had it, that the emotional turmoil of rooting for these guys just wasn’t worth it. I knew I would check the final score, but then I would focus on recruiting threads, but that I wouldn’t sit here and suffer through another game with my iPad open to check on the game thread here and on Livestats. But before the night was over I was already checking here to see who we were playing next and when, noting that it looked like we got a better draw as the 7th seed then Duquesne did at the 6th and that maybe we could get to Thursday after all. I also knew I’d be back here Wednesday with my TV on watching the game and my iPad open to check on the foul situation as the game proceeded. I also knew I was lying to myself to think otherwise. I guess that’s what comes with joining this cult, right?
