Love this move. Forget his stats from last year. He played injured most of the year and eventually had to be shut down. McCaffery loved him. He was good enough to start games in the Big 10, was a 4 star recruit out of Boston and has two years of eligibility left. And, looking at his interviews he seems like a great humble kid. He'll fit in perfectly.

Yeah this is a great signing. 2 years to play also. Him and Moore bring a ton of intangibles. We still have a lot of questions on the wing, but I’m very pleased with the roster right now.

Dasonte Bowen a 6’3’” PG. Following is from attached article. — Whenever somebody commits to the Iowa men’s basketball team, it’s always a big deal to Hawkeye fans. But when it’s a four-star point guard who has multiple Power 5 scholarship offers, as is the case with Dasonte Bowen, the hype climbs to another level. — 4 star recruit four-star by ESPN and 247 Sports. Bowen’s verbal commitment to Iowa is considered a huge victory for Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. — He said thanks, but no thanks to Maryland, Georgetown, Miami (Fla.), Boston College, Northwestern, Penn State, Rutgers, Seton Hall, USC and Virginia Tech among others. From Unfurl: "Iowa transfer Dasonte Bowen has committed to St. Bonaventure, he told ESPN. Two years of eligibility remaining for the 6'3 guard. Important addition for Mark Schmidt in the A-10." hawkfanatic.com/2021/06/10/not-big-on-recruiting-hype-but-landing-dasonte-bowen-good-work-by-fran-mccaffery/twitter.com/SBUnfurled?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

now if we can only have him convince that other Iowa guard not to turn pro, and return for their 5th year. Of course, we may have to use a different ball, but we could use the 3 point range.

This is the type of player the Bonnies should have been recruiting all along. Now they should look for a high scoring big man for an inside threat.

Really excited Dasonte joining the Brown & White! A lot to like here:
> High end talent (four star recruit coming out of HS) > Promising P6 conference experience - with a very solid freshman season at Iowa before struggling with injury as a Sophomore. > Two years of eligibility > Ability to handle the most important position on the floor (PG)
Welcome, Dasonte and Go Bonas!

DASONTE 23-24 Season 13.3 mpg, 40% FGs, 4-18 TREYS 22%, 85% FTs, 4.4 ppg, 49 Assists/16 TOs for an incredible 3.07 A/TO Ratio.
His playmaking skills are his greatest asset providing us the floor general we need. His 3.07 A/TO Ratio would rank 2nd to Dayton's Bennett who lead all PGs with 3.3 ratio. Bennett was the only PG above 3.0. HUFFMAN at Davidson was #2 with a 2.6 ratio.
Last season MIKA had a 2.3 Assist/TO Ratio.
DASONTE will provide a step up in getting all involved

Really like seeing that 85% FT rate. Will be huge in helping us close out games.
